AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-4-2 OF THE VILLAGE
CODE OF McCALL, IDAHO, TO INCREASE THE ANNUAL LICENSE
FEE FOR UNSPAYED FEMALE DOGS TO $25.00; AMENDING
SECTION 5 -4 -3 -0E -THE VILLAGE CODE OF-McCALL, IDAHO,
TO PROVIDE FOR ISSUANCE OF LICENSE TAGS FOR UNSPAYED
FEMALE DOGS UPON PAYMENT -OF -AN ANNUAL FEE -OF $25.00;
AMENDING SECTION 5-4-5-OF^THE-VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL,
IDAHO, TO INCREASE THE FEE FOR IMPOUNDING OF UNLICENSED
DOGS -TO $10.00; AMENDING SECTION -5 -4 -8 -0E -THE VILLAGE
CODE OF McCALL; IDAHO; TO INCREASE -THE -MAXIMUM FINE TO
$100.00 FOR ALLOWING"A FEMALE DOG IN HEAT TO RUN AT
LARGE; AND ADDING A NEW'SECTION TO CHAPTER -4 -OF TITLE V
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MCCALL, 'IDAHO,' TO -BE DESIGNATED
AS SECTION 5-4-13, PROVIDING FOR A KENNEL FEE FOR -HAR-
BORING THREE (3) OR MORE DOGS AT ANY ONE TIME AND ES
TABLISHING A $25.00 ANNUAL FEE THEREFOR.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 5-4-2 of the Village Code of
McCall, Idaho, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
5-4-2: LICENSE; FEE; TERM: The license for every
male dog and every female dog which has been spayed
shall be three ($3.00)dollars and for every female
dog not spayed, ten ($10.00) dollars per year. No
license tax shall be payed for less than one year,
unless the dog was brought within the Village within
the year, in which case the license tax shall be pro-
portioned to the time between the date when such dog
was brought within said village and the first day of
January following.
Section 2. That Section 5-4-3 of the Village Code of
McCall, Idaho, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
5-4-3: LICENSE; TAG: The owner or person in charge
of any dog, male or female, shall before the first
day of January of each year, pay to the Treasurer the
sum of three ($3.00) dollars for each male dog and
for every female dog which has been spayed, and the
sum of twenty-five ($25.00) dollars for any female
dog which has not been spayed as a licenseLtax upon such
dog. The Clerk shall furnish with each receipt a metal
tag- which shall be stamped with the number to corres-
pond with the number of the receipt and the fiscal year
for which issued. In case a dog is brought within the
Village within the dog license year as herein designated,
the owner or person having such dog in charge shall pay
the Treasurer the amount as specified in Section 5-4-2.
The Clere shall keep a suitable record of the receipts
issued under the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. That Section 5-4-5 of the Village Code of
McCall, Idaho, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:

5-4-5: UNLICENSED DOG - IMPOUNDING: All dogs not li-
censed and collared as herein provided are hereby de-
clared to be public nuisances, and it is the duty of
the Pound Master or other suitable person by him
appointed, to take up and impound any dog not licensed
and collared as in this ordinance provided. Every
dog so seized shall be retained in the pound for a
period of forty-eight (48) hours, the owner or keeper
of such dog may redeem the same by procuring a license
as in this ordinance provided, and paying in addition
thereto a fee to the Pound Master of ten dollars ($10.00)
as an impounding fee together with the sum of two dollars
($2.00) per day for the board and care of such dog,
which such fees shall be paid by the Pound Master to the
Treasurer.
Section 4. That Section 5-4-8 of the Village Code of
McCall, Idaho, be and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
5-4-8: FEMALE DOGS IN HEAT: The owner or possessor
of any female dog who permits the same to run at large
while in heat, shall be liable to a fine in any sum not
exceeding one hundred ($100.00) dollars.
Section 5. That there is hereby added a new Section to
Chapter 4 of Title V of the Village Code of McCall, Idaho,
to be designated as Section 5-4-13, and to read as follows:
5-4-13: KENNEL FEE: Any person who shall, at any
one time possess, harbor, keep or be in charge of
three (3) or more dogs over 6 months of age shall
in addition to the license fees provided in this
ordinance, pay the sum of $25.00 per calendar year
as and for a kennel fee.
