AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-8-1 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MCCALL,
IDAHO, RELATED TO REMOVAL OF IMPROPERLY PARKED VEHICLES BY IN-
CREASING REMOVAL CHARGES TO $15.00 AND INCREASING STORAGE CHARGES
TO $2.00 PER DAY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL,
IDAHO,, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 7-8-1 of the Village Code of McCall,
Idaho, shall be, and is, hereby amended to read as follows:
7-8-1: REMOVAL OF IMPROPERLY PARKED VEHICLES: Anv vehicle
parked in violation of traffic regulations or any vehicle parked
so as to obstruct the free movement -of traffic or to cause a traf-
fic hazard may be immediately removed upon order of the Police De-
partment. Any such vehicle removed by the Police Department shall
be kept under the control of the Police Department until the owner
or authorized agent pays a reasonable cost of removal and storage
in addition to the penalty provided for such improper parking.
Any such vehicle shall be deemed to be improperly parked after a
period of three (3) minutes unless said vehicle is parked in a
regularly marked parking area, when it shall be deemed to be im-
properly parked after any period of time longer than that desig-
nated by a meter or proper sign. If said vehicle is redeemed -
within five (5) days said removal charges shall' not exceed fifteen
dollars ($15000 ) , however, if said vehicle is not redeemed within
five (5 ) days the cost of redemption shall include the actual cost
and expense of said removal in addition to a storage charge of two
dollars ($2.00 ) per day and said costs and- expenses shall be a
lien in favor of the municipality.
