Committee members present were Steven Bergquist, Carol Appleton , Jim Trabulsie ( Chairman ) , George Carey and Sara Provos ( Department Assistant ) . Tom Turcketta and Patricia Busch were absent . CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS HEARING H- 1249-204 Sara Phillips, 11 Tubman Road, Map 47 Lot 22 16 Roof Mounted Solar Panels ■ Applicant was represented by David Schlesinger . ■ An updated solar panel coverage layout was provided that showed full coverage of the roof. ■ The panels and all clips/ hardware will be black . ■ Carol Appleton moved to approve as presented . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor . SCHEDULED APPLICATIONS H- 1-20- 1 Vernon & Melissa Smith, 2208 Main Street, Map 68 Lot 1264792 Enclose Existing Patio Area ■ Applicant Vernon Smith and builder Chris Hutton reviewed the scope of work with the committee . ■ There will be no mulled window units . ■ The windows will have sills . ■ Alec Watt on behalf of Suzanne Fratus ( abutter) stated his concerns with the changes and signage to the structure with the Committee . ■ Jim Trabulsie addressed Mr . Watt' s concerns and re- iterated the role of the HDC Committee . Mr . Trabulsie also noted it appeared that many of Mr . Watt' s concerns may be better addressed with the Zoning Department . ■ The applicant was informed by the Chairman that a new application will need to be filed for any new signs on the property . ■ Carol Appleton moved to approve . Steve Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor . 1 Brewster Historic District Committee / Minutes of January 6, 2020 Meeting H- 1-20-2 Daniel Guertin Trust, 3644 Main Street, Map 126 Lot 86 Exterior Renovations to Front Porch and New Rear Deck ■ The applicant was represented by Jean Bowden of Capizzi Home Improvement . ■ The columns will be fiberglass . ■ The railing and decking will be azec . ■ The deck in the rear will match the front porch . ■ Steve Bergquist moved to approve as presented . George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor . H- 1- 20-3 David Abramowitz & Megan Kelleher, 88 Brier Lane, Map 48 Lot 62 Pool, Pool House and Gym ■ The applicant was represented by David Quinn of Ryder & Wilcox . ■ Mr . Quinn provided an updated specification sheet for the garage . ■ Roof on the Pool House will match the house, it will not be red cedar shingles as noted on application . ■ There will be no mulled window units . ■ Per Mr . Quinn , the stone fence/wall may be completed at a later date , but wanted it to be considered as part of this application . ■ Carol Appleton moved to approve as amended . Steve Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor . OT . HER BUSINESS _ ` _ - _ _ Informal Discussion 30 Swift Lane, 30 Swift LLC c/o Edward Galonek, Jr., Map 69 Lot 97 Informal Discussion with Alison Alessi, A3 Architects, Inc. Addition/Renovations ■ Alison Alessi presented plans for an addition on the existing structure . ■ Ms . Alessi stated that the site is restricted by Conservation and Zoning, so the applicant is limited to adding to the left side of the property . ■ All members felt that the scale of the addition seemed a bit overwhelming and that it did not match the existing character of the home . ■ Mr . Trabulsie addressed to the look of the exterior wall as presented on the West Elevation view . ■ The Historic District Committee reacted favorably to the applicant and encouraged additional discussions if the applicant wanted to present ideas on preserving the original character of the existing property while looking into options of adding on to meet the homeowners need for additional square footage . 2
