SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Syringa Networks, LLC has approached the City to lease one of 3 installed conduits. They are hoping to
interconnect the Park Place building, Central District Health and a building on Lake Street. In response to
Council concerns, Syringa Networks has accepted updates to the contract. The contract is for a term of 10
years with review of the contract after 5 years then automatic renewal going forward. Syringa Networks
will be responsible for fiber installation and maintenance related to the leased conduit. This would provide
for a monthly recurring income. The contract has been reviewed by the City Attorney.
The Duct Occupancy Agreement is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve the Duct Occupancy Agreement with Syringa Networks, LLC and authorize the Mayor to sign all
necessary documents.
