Committee members present were Steven Bergquist, Torn Turcketta , Jim Trabulsie ( Chairman ) , Patricia Busch , Carol Appleton and Sara Provos ( Secretary) . George Carey was absent . SC,kiDULED APPLICATIONS � �� > ' l � ,, t , H41 20-6 Elizabeth Romano, 123 Alden Drive, Map 55 Lot 39 Addition ■ Jean Bowden of Capizzi Home Improvements and the homeowner Elizabeth Ramano reviewed the plans for the screened porch addition . • The screen porch will be located in the back of the home and exterior features will match the existing home . ■ Decking will be mahogany and railings will be white in Azek material . ■ Vegetation will remain as screening to cover under the deck . ■ Risers to be on all stairs . ■ Carol Appleton moved to approve as amended . Patricia Busch seconded . ■ All voted in favor . 54120-7 Danielle Nettleton, 26 Wampum Drive, Map 78 Lot 110 Sign ■ Applicant was not present at the meeting, but informed the Building Department that she will be moving the sign from the current location on Underpass Road to the new location at 26 Wampum Drive . ■ Sign to be located on the roof in the middle of the building . ■ Lighting to be downward facing . ■ This application does not cover free standing signage and applicant will be notified that any additional signage at this location will require approval . ■ Patricia Busch moved to approve as presented . Carol Appleton seconded . ■ All voted in favor . 1 Brewster Historic District Committee / Minutes of January 27, 2020 Meeting WI20-9 Justin Wall, 1261 Long Pond Road, Map 84 Lot 62 Garage ■ David Crosbie , the General Contractor and homeowner Justin Wall reviewed the plans with the committee . ■ Corner boards were not noted on plans, however the contractor stated that the garage will have white corner boards . ■ Garage doors will be 14' high x 24' wide with raised panels . ■ The committee stated they would like to have windows on the garage doors to break up the size of the doors . ■ Public comment was allowed , o Peter Norton , an abutter of this property, expressed his concerns that this structure does not keep with the residential or historic feel of the neighborhood . Mr . Norton also remarked that it appears very large and could potentially be used for commercial purposes . o Justin Wall stated he has no intention of running a business out of his property and this building will be used for personal use only . ■ The committee noted the structure does have the appearance of a commercial building . ■ The Chairman stated the lack of windows on the rear perspective of the plans submitted do not seem appropriate for a building within the historic district . ■ The Committee suggested that a site review be scheduled and that the application be continued to the February 10th meeting . ■ The homeowner agreed to a site review and signed a waiver to continue to the next meeting . H41 2040 Seamus Woods, 707 Tubman Road, Map 65 Lot 16 Addition ■ Amy Woods and Kate Nelson attended the meeting . ■ Amy stated that the siding, roof color and windows will match the existing home on the property . ■ The addition will contain an indoor endless pool . ■ Windows will be Anderson 200 Series and door color will be a historic red . ■ Patricia Busch moved to approve as presented . Carol Appleton seconded . ■ All voted in favor . H41 20- 11 Robert and Nancy Wynne, 226 Ambergris Circle, Map 49 Lot 11 Addition and Dormer ■ Contractor Scott Collum presented his plans for the addition and dormer . ■ Windows will have white trim with black sashes . ■ All trim on the house will be Snowbound ( white ) . ■ The roof on the porch will be metal and black in color . 2 Brewster Historic District Committee / Minutes of January 27, 2020 Meeting ■ Columns on the addition will be round . ■ The committee requested that a sample of the shingle be brought to the Building Department . The committee will then make a final determination if the material proposed is appropriate and maintains a historic appearance . ■ Tom Turcketta approved pending sample of shingle is approved by committee . Carol Appleton seconded . ■ All voted in favor . OTHER Bl1SINESS _ � 5 ■ Tom Turcketta moved to approve the December 9 , 2019 minutes . Patricia Busch seconded . All voted in favor . ■ Carol Appleton moved to approve the January 6, 2020 minutes . Steve Bergquist seconded . All voted in favor . i i 3
