Dodson ssioner John G. Hart J. Phil Hoyle William S. LaPorte Henry Pope, Henry Lilienthal, William Gwynn and Roy Cowart. Mayor Dodson called the meeting to order and announced that the purpose of the meeting was to canvass the March 1, 1966 election returns. It was moved that the seal on the ballot box be broken, the ballot box be opened, and the certified results of the election be read and accepted. Motion was seconded and passed unanimously. William E. Gwynn announced that there were 104 registered voters on the rolls, that 150 ballots were printed and that 97 ballots were cast. The certified results were read with the following results: Barns 9 votes LaPorte 50 votes Hart 55 " Pope 20 " Hoyle 71 " Walker 48 " Iglehart 56 " Webster 37 " Koch 59 " It was thereupon determined by the Canvassing Board that the following men were duly elected to serve as Commissioners for three years beginning March 12, 1966: John G. Hart J. Phil Hoyle Stewart B. Iglehart William F. Koch, Jr. William S. LaPorte It was unanimously agreed that the next Commission Meeting would be held on Saturday March 12, 1966 at 9:30 A.M. at the Town Hall. This meeting to constitute the Regular Monthly Commission Meeting and the Organizational Meeting to install the new Commissioners. There being no further bu ATTEST: f �� c MAYOR?S PROCLAMATION CALLING TOWN ELECTION TO BE HELD MARCH 1, 1966 WHEREAS, the Town Charter, Chapter 27579, Laws of Florida, acts of 1951, requires a town election to be held on the first Tuesday in March, 1966, which is March 1, 1966; and WHEREAS, it is the duty of the Town Commission to designate a polling place and to appoint a clerk and inspectors of election for the purpose of carrying on and conducting such elections; 1..An election is hereby called to be held on Tuesday, March 1, 1966, for the purpose of electing five town commissioners who will hold office for a term of three years beginning the third Tuesday in March, 1966. 2. The Town Commission designated the Town Hall of the Town of Gulf Stream, Florida, as the polling place for the holding of said election, and thereby appointed the following clerk and ins- pectors: Clerk: Dorotha Davis Bauer Inspectors Charles Turner Florence Cramp 3. The election shall be held and the polling place shall ba open between the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 7 :00 o'clock P.M. Eastern Standard Time. 4. Only qualified, registered voters of the Town of Gulf Stream will be allowed to vote in this election. 5. Any person who desires to have his name placed upon the official ballot Shall file with the Town Clerk, at least 20 days before such election is to be held, a petition signed by at least four qualified electors of the Town requesting such person to become a candidate for such office. 6. A copy of this proclamation shall be posted on the Town Bulletin Board at least 10 days before the election.
