Mayor Groninga presiding
Councilmen present: Schmidt, Riekena, Huisman, Eckhoff.
There being no objectors to the proposed plans & specifications
-of the Curb RC Gutter Program, the Council decided to open
bads. Only one bid was submitted,
Vette Construction Co „ Waverly, Iowa
1.80 per running foot, plus extras, total of
6464.00.
The Council aslred Vette Cons, Co. to furnish bond on same
and when presented , Contract would be awarded.

John. Riekena introduced the Ordinance, No. %.�`{ establishing the
grades on part of Fourti�. Street. Motion seconded by Schmidt-. Vote
was as following: Ayes: Riekena, Schmidt, Huisman, Eckhoff�
Huisman introduced the Motion.to suspend the rules: and to pass
the ordinance on it'.s first. reading,Seconded by Riekena.-Motion
carried. Vote as follows: Aye:Riekena, Schmidt, Huisman, Eckhoff
All Councilmen present having voted "Aye", �Ta or_Groninga declared
said motion. carried. and said Ordinance No.�3 � was placed upon it,'s
first reading and was read for the first time. Upon. roll call
Councilmen voted as follows: "ayes" Rie'�ena, Schmidt, Huisman�:�C
Eckhoff. A11 members present_ �.aving voted. "Aye", Mayor GroiZinga
declared the motion c^rried and the Ordina�,ce passed and adopted,
T�Zotion by Schmidt, sedoi�ded by Eckhoff to instruct the Poti�rer Co. to
install. Mercury Vapor Lights on Fourth Street and Washington Street.
