AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR A LABOR TAX FOR STREET AND HIGHWAY PURPOSES UPON THE MALE RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF MCCALL. _0-- Section I. That. all able --bodied male residents of the Village of McCall,af Boise County,Idaho,between the ages of twenty—one and fifty years,shall,between the first day of April and the first day of October of each year,either by themselves or satisfactory substitutes,perform two days labor upon the streets,alleys or highways within the Village of McCall, at such times as the Overseer of Streets may direct,and upon three days notice in writing given to them by said Overseer of Streets,or pay in cash a tax of:'00. Section 2. That for each days failure to pay said tax,or to attend and perform said labor as required from said male residents,at the time and place specified in said written notice,the delinquent shall forfeit and pay to the Village of McCall,the sum of one -dollar for each days delinquency. Section 3. That the amount of said fine,or forf eiture,may in all cases, and in addition to the mode herein before provided,be recovered by suit or action before any competant tribunal,in the name , of the State of Idaho,for the benefit of said village. Section 4. That the Overseer of Streets shall maKe a full report of all of said delinquencies,to the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall,accompanied by a copy of the notice served upon each delinquent person with a statement thereon,showing the time and manner of notice.
