An ordinance relating to the taxing and killing of dogs.
it ordained by the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village
of McCall,Boise County,Idaho.
Section I.
Any person who shall
own or keep any dog,whelp,slut or bitch,
within the corporate limits of the Village of McCall,without having obtained
a license therefor, shall be fined not less that Five Dollars, more
than Twenty Five Dollars,f or each offense.

the limits of the Village of McCall,unless such dog,bitch or whelp shall
have a band around his or her neck with a license plate for the year
fastened thereon;and if the owner of any dog within the meaning of this
1 finance shall fail or refuse to comply with the provisions of this section,
it shall be the duty of the policeman to report the same to the Chairman,who
shall make complaint against such person,who,upon conviction thereof,shall
be fined in a sure not exceeding Twenty Five Dollars.
.Section 4. The policeman or any officer of the Village is authorized to
kill any dog,bitch or whelp of which the owner is unknown,found running
at large within the village,unless marked and licensed as herein provided.
-` ction 5. If any person shall permit any slut or bitch,being the owner
or keeper of the same,to run at large within the limits of the Village,
while in heat,he or they shall pay to the village,the sum of Five Dollars,
and it shall be the duty of the policeman to take such slut or bitch,if
round running at large,and confine her in some suitable place,until he can
notify the owner thereof,who shall take such slut or bitch and keep her
( p,and pay to the policeman the sum of one dollar,charges for taking her
up; Provided,however,if the owner of such slut or bitch shall neglect or
refuse to take such slut or bitch and pay the charges thereon,ror the space
of twenty four hours,after personal service of notice,the policeman shall
kill such slut or bitch.
Section 6. That all licenses issued by virtue of this ordinance shall
be dated as the day of application therefor,and shall be good from
the first Tuesday of May of each year.No license shall be granted for
