The Town of Gulf Stream has received your public records request dated February 5, 2018. You
should be able to view your original request at the following link:

1. E-news subscribers – the Town does not operate an e-newsletter. Therefore, there are no
records responsive to this part of your request.
2. Registered volunteers – the Town does not operate a Volunteer Office. Therefore, there
are no records responsive to this part of your request.
3. & 4. Business Tax Applicants and Gulf Stream Vendors (Active, Inactive) – the Town of
Gulf Stream operates an Occupational Registration program. All workers hired to
perform services in the Town must be registered to do work in the Town. Occupational
Registration is designed to ensure workers are properly licensed and insured, which
enhances the safety of the community. The Town interprets your request for “Business
Tax Applicants” and “City of Gulf Stream Vendors” to seek records relating to the
Town’s Occupational Registration program. However, if this interpretation is incorrect,
or you seek different records, please clarify your request.
The Town notes that you seek records of registrants that are both “active” and “inactive”.
Companies are required to register with the Occupational Registration program every
fiscal year, running October 1 through September 30. Attached for your convenience,
please find the Town’s records relating to active Occupational Registrants, spanning
fiscal year 2017-2018.
In order to provide you with the records you seek relating to “inactive” registrants in a
cost effective and efficient manner, please provide a date range for this part of your
request, and the Town will promptly provide you with responsive records, or an estimate
of the cost to respond.
If the Town does not receive clarification from you within 30 days of this letter, we will consider
this request closed.
