Mayor Iglehart called the meeting to order.
The minutes of the regular meeting held March 8, 1966 and special
meeting held March 23, 1966 were read approved and adopted. The
financial and water report for March 1966 was read approved and
adopted. All expenditures included in this report were approved.
The minutes of the Board of Equalization Meeting held March 16, 1966 were
read approved and adopted.
Mayor Iglehart read a resolution of appreciation to Curtis H. Dodson
expressing sincere appreciation on behalf of the Town Commission and
Town residents for his many years of service to the Town. Each
Commissioner then signed the resolution and it was presented to Mr.
Dodson along with an inscribed gavel.
Mr. Dodson thanked everyone and said it had been a pleasure to serve
the Town along with such capable men.
A letter from Russell & Axon was read. This letter reviewed the
status of the proposed force main along A1A. The Commission also
discussed the possibility of a sewer hook up with Boynton Beach if
they sould extend a line across the Intracoastal Waterway.
A letter from the Boynton Beach First National Bank was read. This
letter offered complete banking services to the Town. Mr. Koch said
that since the Town has certain ties with Boynton such as fire
protection the Town do some banking in Boynton. Mr. Hoyle said that
he believed that it was good policy to do banking where the Town
has some voice in operation of the bank. He stated that he was on
the Board of Directorsand several other Commissioners were
stockholders._ It was moved and seconded that the Town place the next
certificate of deposit to be purchased with the Boynton Beach Bank.
Motion passed. Mayor Iglehart abstained.
Mr. Whittemore asked the Commission to look into the drainage problem
on Polo Drive in front of his house and Mr. Cole. He said many of
these local drainage problems could be corrected inexpensively and
would take the pressure off the Commission.
The Commission instructed the Town Clerk to study this matter with
Hardrives and report back with their recommendations and estimated
costs.
The Police reports for March 1966 were read.
�.- The Commission instructed the Town Clerk to file the Hart - Reynolds
proposal for sewer engineering services for future reference.

Mr. Koch stated that this ordinance had to be reworked to include
some of Mr. Popes suggestions and also had been reviewed by Mark
Fleming. He further stated that this ordinance gives the Commission
authority to make changes to accomodate certain cases & special
problems that may arise. It was moved and seconded that this ordinance
be placed on first reading. Motion passed.

was placed on first reading. It was moved and seconded that this
ordinance be placed on first reading in full. Motion Passed.
It was agreed by the Commisson that this re zoning would be done
in accordance with the procedures as outlined in the zoning ordinance
next December.
Mr. Pope suggested that next December the Town should consider
changing the zoning ordinance to make it less cumbersome to make
changes in the zoning ordinance.
Mayor Iglehart appointed a committee of Mr. Pope, Mr. Hoyle, Mr.
Koch, and himself to meet during the summer to plan for the growth
of the Town and to hear certain requests & suggestions from Mr.
Pope regarding the polo fields and other matters such as zoning,
water systems, drainage etc.
Mr. Gwynn reported that he had less than ten inquiries regarding the
recent letter sent to all residents informing them of the burglar
alarm systems studied by the Town. Mayor Iglehart said that he felt
the Town had done enough on this matter to adequatley inform the
residents and this information should be retained for anyone who
wishes to pursue it further.
There was a discussion of the matter of extra policemen for the
Town. The Commission agreed that it was apparent that a majority of
residents favored an additional policeman and also an extra man
would permit scheduling of time to put each man on a 40 hour work
week which most of the neighboring towns vow b a ,

RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
2,11R. CURTIS H. DODSON
Adopted April 8, 1966
In 1952 Curtis H. Dodson and his wife, Louise, built a
home in the Town of Gulf Stream and became residents. Being
civic minded and willing to devote time to town affairs,
Air. Dodson ran for town commissioner and was elected in Narch
1957. He served as mayor and commissioner of the town from ? ?ay
1960 until he retired from office in March 1966, not seeking re-
election at the latter time.
Mr. Dodson devoted much of his tine, energy, talents
and efforts, without monetary compensation, to the affairs and
interests of the Town of Gulf Stream and its citizens.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, the
Town Commission of Gulf stream, Florida, in session assembled
April 8, 1966, does hereby extend and express its thanks and
appreciation to Mr. Curtis H. Dodson for his untiring efforts,
accomplishments and contributions to the Town of Gulf Stream
and its citizens.
Be it further resolved, that this resolution be spread
on the minutes of this meeting and a signed copy thereof be
presented to Mr. Dodson.
