and adopted. The Financial and Water Report for May 1966 was
read and approved. All expenditures included in this report
were approved.

certain objections to the proposed subdivision ordinance. Mayor

the letter. This letter and copy of the reply are on file.
The police reports for May were read.
The building perm.,ts report showed four permits totaling $83,000.00
in new construction.
C. Water analyses taken at three locations, North end, South end and
at the water tower, on May 31, 1966 and June 3, 1966 were reviewed
by the Commission. These analyses showed that the water being
deliverd at the water tower had a high color rating as did the
samples at the other locations.
Mr. Hart said the Blub is going to drill a new well which has
shown in tests to be of very good color rating. He further stated
that the cost for well drilling and pi ing will be '$13,000.00 and
that the Club plans to shut down well #3 which has consistently
showed high color rating.
Mayor Iglehart instructed the Town Clerk to furnish copies of these
analyses to the Club.
Mr. Koch reported on a sewer meeting held June 2, 1966 with
officials of Delray Beach, Briney Breezes, Ocean Ridge, Gulf Stream

Mr. Gwynn reported that so far only two people had contacted the
Town regarding the clearing of vacant land. Mr. Wm. Evans is
proceeding to obtain prices and will take care of his lot in
the near future. Mrs. James Wallace has given verbal consent
to have her lot north of the John Hart residence cleared. Mr.
Gwynn stated that he had two prices for this work and they would
be forwarded to her for her approval.
Mayor Iglehart reported that Henry Pope had submitted suggestions
and comments on the proposed subdivision ordiance and that Mr.
Pope, Mr. Koch and himself had met with Charles Anderson of
Brockway, Owan and Anderson to discuss the ordinance and Mr.
Popes suggestions. He said that it was apparant from these
discussions that the Town needed an independent engineer to
draw up an ordinance designed especially for the Town of Gulf
Stream and that if we are to have a subdivision ordinance it
should be the best one that could be drawn. Mr. Anderson sub-
mitted an estimate of cost of 750.00 to 1,000.00 and he would
prefer doing the work on a per diem basis of $15.00 an hour
for engineering time. It was moved and seconded that the Town
hire Brockway, Owen and Anderson to prepare a subdivision
ordinance for the Town on a per diem basis not to exceed X1,000.00.
Motion passed.
There was a discussion of ordinance #134 passed on 2nd and final
reading May 13, 1966. This ordinance rezoned the "B" business
district to "A" residential. In view of the fact that this
rezoning was done contrary to the procedures outlined in the
zoning ordinance it was moved and seconded that this action be
rescirrled and ordinance #134 be declared null and void. Motion
passed.
The Commission accepted the revised plans and specifications
for water main extensions as prepared by Brockway, Owen and
Anderson and authorized them to proceed in obtaining bids for
this work. All bids to be opened and reviewed by the Town
Commission with the right to refuse any and all bids.
There being no further business
the meeting was adjourned.
