AKENDING & SUPPLEMENTING ARTICLE X%rI ENTITLED, ZON - MG, OF
CHAPTER 160 -132, NEIGHBORHOOD CONENIERCIAL ZONE. REGULATIONS
OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret ( ".the
Borough ") that the Code of the Borough is hereby amended and supplemented as
follows:
Section 1. §160 -132, "Neighborhood Commercial Zone regulations." is hereby amended
and supplemented to add the following under Section A:
(7) One - family and two- family units, . provided that these dwelling units do not
occupy the first floor of any building and that the area devoted to the use does
not exceed forty -nine percent (49 %) of the total building floor area and that
the minimum floor area of each dwelling is not less than seven hundred (700)
square feet gross.
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with the provision of this
Ordinance are hereby repealed limited to the extent of any such
inconsistency.
Section 3. If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision of this
Ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only to
the section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision so adjudged
and the remainder of this Ordinance shall be deemed valid and
effective.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication according to
applicable law.
