Mr. Koch wa, given the floor to report on the progress made to date
regarding sewer program and rate proposal with the City of Delray
Beach.
There was a lenghty discussion of the various aspects of the sewer
program including construction of a force main through Gulf Stream,
Briney Breezes and Ocean Ridge and drafting of a contract to satisfy
all the Towns involved.
The Commission voted unanimously to proceed with Ocean Ridge and
Briney Breezes to have a contract drawn up for sewer sefvice with
the City of Delray Beach. Said contract to be signed by the Town
subject to voter approval by the property owners of Gulf Stream.
The Commission also went on record as being opposed to the Town being
responsible for any maintenance and repai -s north of the Town
of Gulf Stream and further that any maintenance and repairs to the
force main lying in the Town of Uulf Stream will be shared
proportionately by each of the communities.
The Commission instructed the Town Clerk to write a letter to Ocean
Ridge and Briney Breezes advising them of the results of the
meeting. A cony of this letter is attached and becomes a part of
these minutes.
