A RESOLUTION REMOVING PORTIONS OF WEST 3RD STREET, GRANT STREET AND
EAST AND WEST 2ND STREET FROM THE CITY OF TIFFIN TRAIL SYSTEM WITH THE
COMPLETION OF TRAIL PHASE 7 AND THE ORIGINAL TOWN URBANIZATION
PROJECT — PHASE TWO
Whereas, the current City of Tiffin Trail System uses a portion of West 3rd Street from
Roberts Ferry Road to Grant Street, Grant Street to West 2nd Street and West (and East) 2nd
Street to Stephans Street; and,
Whereas, with the completion of the Trail Phase 7 and the Original Town Urbanization —
Phase 2 Projects, these portions of the trail system are no longer needed; and,
Whereas, the City of Tiffin Public Works Department will no longer need to maintain those
old sections of the trail,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to remove
portions of West 3rd Street, Grant Street and East and West 2nd Street from the City of Tiffin
Trail System.
On this 7th day of November, 2023, at the regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Havens introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-074, A RESOLUTION
REMOVING PORTIONS OF WEST 3RD STREET, GRANT STREET AND EAST AND WEST
2ND STREET FROM THE CITY OF TIFFIN TRAIL SYSTEM WITH THE COMPLETION OF
TRAIL PHASE 7 AND THE ORIGINAL TOWN URBANIZATION PROJECT — PHASE TWO
and made a motion for approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Olney.
Ayes: Orris, Schnedler, Limkemann, Havens, Olney.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2023-074, A RESOLUTION REMOVING PORTIONS OF
WEST 3RD STREET, GRANT STREET AND EAST AND WEST 2ND STREET FROM THE
CITY OF TIFFIN TRAIL SYSTEM WITH THE COMPLETION OF TRAIL PHASE 7 AND
THE ORIGINAL TOWN URBANIZATION PROJECT — PHASE TWO to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereunto.
Passed by the City Council on the 7th day of November, 2023.
