Committee members present were Steven Bergquist, Carol Appleton, Jim Trabulsie ( Chairman ) , Tom Turcketta , Patricia Busch , George Carey and Sara Provos ( Secretary) . ir CONTINUED FROM PREVIOUS HEARING H41 20-9 Justin Wall, 1261 Long Pond Road, Map 84 Lot 62 Garage ■ George Carey recused himself from hearing this application . ■ David Crosbie, the General Contractor and homeowner Justin Wall discussed the updated plans with the committee . ■ Site review was done by the committee on January 30, 2020 . ■ Carol Appleton stated that the building looked commercial and the revised drawings do not accomplish meeting the historic characteristics of the building . ■ Jim Trabulsie remarked that he thinks this building is inappropriate for this area . ■ David Danish an abutter to this property expressed his concern of the size of the building and noted that it appears to be a commercial structure . ■ Peter Norton an abutter to this property stated that the size and scope of the building is not in keeping with the historic feel of this neighborhood and objects to this application . ■ Gwendolyn Pelletier an abutter to this property stated that she is not offended by the proposed garage and supports this application . ■ Overall the Committee members felt that this accessory structure relative to the size of the principal building is not appropriate for the site nor the neighborhood . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to deny as presented . Steven Bergquist seconded . ■ All voted in favor. SCHEDULED APPLICATIONS H-2-2048 Maureen Riley, 2141 Main Street, Map 68 Lot 49 Fence ■ Maureen Riley was not able to attend, but her son attended on her behalf. ■ The applicant provided two options for the Committee to review . The first option was to request the use of cedar/wood fencing . Option two was to request the use of vinyl fencing . ■ Jim Trabulsie stated that vinyl is not allowed so that option was taken off as a review item . 1 ■ The fence would be a four ( 4) foot picket fence on Main Street and a six ( 6 ) foot fence on the back of the property . ■ The fence would be painted white . ■ Archer Dowdy who is an abutter of this property noted that he did not have any concerns with the proposed fence . ■ Carol Appleton moved to accept as amended . Patricia Busch seconded . ■ All voted in favor . H-2-20- 19 David and Ellen Harpin, 315 Blueberry Pond Drive, Map 101 Lot 9 Deck and Windows ■ Mark Hossfield , the General Contractor on behalf of the owners reviewed the plans with the committee . ■ No mulled windows . ■ Deck is pre-existing, however risers will be used on any steps that remain . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to accept as proposed . Carol Appleton seconded . ■ All voted in favor . H-2-20- 20 Catherine Pucci, 10 Salt Works Road, Map 49 Lot 46 Screen Porch ■ Jim Nickerson the General Contractor reviewed the plans with the committee , ■ Decking will be grey and railings will be white in Azek . ■ Roof to match existing house color. ■ All siding being replaced will match existing house . ■ Lattice ( square ) to cover bottom area of deck . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to accept as amended , George Carey seconded . ■ All voted in favor. H-2- 20-21 Peter and Carolina Castaldi , 175 Fox Meadow Drive, Map 101 Lot 33 Addition ■ Keri Murray, Architect and Peter Castaldi, homeowner presented plans to the committee . ■ The existing bay window will remain in the front of the home . ■ Windows will not be mulled ■ Clapboard in front will be painted grey , ■ Door will be painted Midnight Blue . ■ Tom Turcketta moved to accept as presented . Patricia Busch seconded . ■ All voted in favor. OTHER BUSINESS , January 27, 2020 Minutes ■ Carol Appleton moved to accept . Patricia Busch seconded . ■ All voted in favor . 2
