Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Mark Thorien, Rick Fereday, Dan Scott
Staff: Jay Scherer, Airport Manager,
Other: Kevin Bissel, Mark Jones
Dan Scott called the meeting to order at 12:10 PM.
Public Comment
Dan Scott and Rick Fereday reported public complaints concerning runway condition and runway
condition reporting over the Christmas/New Year's week. Mr Scherer was reminded of customer
service expectations.
Approval of Minutes from December 1, 2016
The December 1, 2016 meeting minutes were presented for review and approval. A motion to
approve the minutes was made by Rick Fereday and seconded by Mark Thorien. The motion
passed unanimously.
Hangar Assignment - 106A
The AAC considered the application to assign the lease for Hangar 106A to Shawn Corbeil. The
land this hangar is on has been identified in the current Airport Master Plan for redevelopment.
As there are no concrete development plans for the area a motion was made by Rick Fereday to
recommend approval of the assignment application to the City Council with the addition of a
notice of the anticipated redevelopment and potential for the hangar lease to not be renewed.
Mark Thorien seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Annual Report to Council Discussion
Content of report was discussed and finalized. Rick Fereday will present at January 26 City
Council meeting.
Lease Rate Analysis Update
Mr. Scherer briefed the lease rate discussion is expected to occur in January, but a date had not
been set. He would provide the date/time when it is scheduled.
McCall Comprehensive Plan: Airport Manager reported back that the zoning portion of the
Comprehensive Plan was to begin in December, but no meetings had been scheduled.
Snow Removal Equipment: Snow equipment is on order with M-B Industries. No change to
delivery date in April.
ALP 021— Land Acquisition Update: All parties have been served. The trial date was set for
December 4, 2017
Airport Improvement Program Ramp Repair
Initial discussion on proposed scope and phasing of an FAA AIP project to repair ramp space in
front of the self -serve fuel pump and upgrade pavement strength of taxiway E from the SRE
equipment building to the front of Hangar 103.
Hangar Projects: No progress was made on this topic.

Three Month Calendar Review
The Committee reviewed the scheduled dates for AAC meetings, City Council meetings and
other dates of interest and importance to the Committee.
Motion to adjourn was made by Mark Thorien and seconded by Rick Fereday. The Committee
adjourned at 1:25 PM
