Meeting Minutes

Dan Scott called the meeting to order at 12:08 PM.
Public Comment: A letter to the AAC written by Gary Noga requesting action to mitigate
potential flooding around the 560 block of hangars on the East Hangar Row. Mr. Scherer
described the flooding that had occurred and actions taken and intended to be taken to resolve this
issue.
Approval of Minutes from August 3, 2017: The August 3, 2017 meeting minutes were
presented for review and approval. A request for more detail to be added reference the hangar
development project agenda item was made. Minutes will be revised and presented for approval
at the October 5t' meeting.
Lease Rate/Airport Fees: Mr. Scherer briefed the Lease Rates/Airport Fees Resolution went
before Council at the August 10 meeting and additional information was requested by City
Council. Mr. Scherer attended the August 25th Council Work Session to provide additional
information. The public hearing was continued until the September 14th Council meeting where
the fees should be determined.
Airport Improvement Program Ramp Repair: Mr. Scherer briefed the FAA grant funds were
received.
Hangar Projects: Discussion of hangar projects continued with the Committee recommending
aggressive action be taken to resolve the problem with hangars not being listed as a permitted use.
The intent of the AAC is to move forward with large hangar development. Additional
information as to industry estimates is needed to determine appropriate mix of small to mid -size
hangars. It was discussed to wait until the Master Plan to move forward or create a planning
subcommittee to work issues.
Instrument Approach Revisions: The airport manager informed the committee the FAA was
revising the instrument procedures and changes would be published in October. The changes to
each procedure were provided.
Snow and Ice Control Plan: A copy of the FAA template for Snow and Ice Control plans was
handed out, but the Mr. Scherer recommended deferring discussion as time did not allow him to
more fully populate the template due to higher priority needs.
McCall Comprehensive Plan: The airport manager briefed the Comprehensive Plan was out for
public review with required Code changes to follow.
AIP 021— Land Acquisition Update: Discovery continues. Depositions for some people
related to the case have been scheduled. Court date is still December 4, 2017.
Three Month Calendar Review: The three month calendar was reviewed.
