Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Dan Scott, Mike Weiss, Matt Shaddle, Mark Thorien

Dan Scott called the meeting to order at 12:10 PM.
Public Cohiment: None
Approval of Minutes from August 3, 2017 and September 7, 2017: The corrected August 3,
2017 meeting minutes were presented for review and approval. Mr. Shaddle moved to accept Mr.
Weiss seconded the motion. The Minutes were unanimously approved.
The September 7, 2017 meeting minutes were presented for review and approval. Mr. Shaddle
moved. to accept Mr. Weiss seconded the motion. The Minutes were unanimously approved.
Lease Rate/Airport Fees: Mr. Scherer reported the Council approved the Lease rate at $.30/sq ft
covered and uncovered. They also approved the Committee recommended fees for snow removal
and vehicle parking. The Council did not change the exempt status of air ambulance flights in
regards to landing fees. Item closed.
Airport Improvement Program Ramp Repair: Mr. Scherer briefed the contractor did not wish
to proceed due to project length and the risk of inclement weather. Contractor will do the work in
Spring when weather looks favorable. Item deferred until start of project.
Hangar Projects: Mr. Scherer briefed and ordinance change was sent to the City Attorney to
make changes to allow hangars as 'a permitted use and change the minimum lot size to allow
smaller hangars. The AAC requested the change only include the hangars as a permitted use to
avoid slowing the process of making the change. Mr. Scott indicated the code had AAC
approved verbiage at one time and would bring the history if available. The AAC will review the
Code to make a comprehensive recommendation for additional changes.
Snow and Ice Control Plan: A copy of the FAA template for Snow and Ice Control plans was
handed out, but the Mr. Scherer recommended deferring discussion as time did not allow him to
more fully populate the template due to higher priority needs.
McCall Comprehensive Plan: The airport manager briefed the Comprehensive Plan was being
briefed to City Council. Item Closed.
AIP 021— Land Acquisition Update: Discovery continues. Depositions for some people
related to the case have been scheduled. Mediation is to be held October 17, 2017. Court date is
still December 4, 2017.

Three Month Calendar Review: The three month calendar was reviewed.
Motion to adjourn was made by Matt Shaddle and seconded by Mike Weiss. The Committee
adjourned at 13:02 PM
