A RESOLUTION SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 5, 2024, FOR A PUBLIC
HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 91.09
OF CHAPTER 91, TO ELIMINATE THE USE OF SINGLE -PURPOSE METERS
Whereas, the City Council recognizes the need to amend sections of the City Code that
should be updated; and,
Whereas, the single -purpose water meters should be eliminated from the Tiffin
Municipal Code and replaced with a 'sod credit application' process,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to set the
date for a public hearing for March 5, 2024, to amend the Municipal Code of Tiffin, Iowa,
Section 91.09 of Chapter 91, to eliminate the use of single -purpose meters.
On the 20th day of February, 2024, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Orris introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2024-013, A RESOLUTION
SETTING THE DATE OF MARCH 5, 2024, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND
THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 91.09 OF CHAPTER 91, TO
ELIMINATE THE USE OF SINGLE -PURPOSE METERS and made a motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Schnedler.
Ayes: Schnedler, Limkemann, Havens, Orris, Olney.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor
Kasparek declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2024-013, A RESOLUTION SETTING THE
DATE OF MARCH 5, 2024, FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, SECTION 91.09 OF CHAPTER 91, TO ELIMINATE THE
USE OF SINGLE-PRUPOSE METERS to be adopted and signified his approval of the
same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 20th day of February, 2024.
