A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A
CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED $59,620 TO ADVANTEC CONSULTING
ENGINEERS FOR THE DESIGN OF BULLIS ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FROM
MARTIN LUTHER KING BOULEVARD TO PLATT AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, on February 2, •2010, the City Council authorized staff to solicit proposals
for the design of the Civic Center and other Improvement project; and
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2011 staff requested proposals from the pre - approved list of
on -call engineering firms, for the preparation of plans, specifications and related contract
documents for the design of the Bullis Road; from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Platt
Avenue Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, staff has received ten proposals from the on -call consulting firms who
responded to the RFP The proposals are as follows

WHEREAS, based on their proposal, staffing and expertise, Advantec Consulting
Engineers was selected to prepare the project design and contract documents for a fee of not -
to- exceed $59,620
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Lynwood City Council awards a consulting services contract to
Advantec Consulting Engineers in a not -to- exceed amount of $59,620 for the design of the
Bullis Road from Martin Luther King Boulevard to Platt Avenue.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Agreement between the City
of Lynwood and Advantec Consulting Engineers in a form approved by the City Attorney
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4 . The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16 day of August, 2011.
