GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL
SPECIAL SESSION
TUESDAY, APRIL 30, 2002 7:00 P.M.
CITY HALL
The Greencastle Common Council met in Special Session Tuesday, April 30, 2002, 7:00 p.m. at
City Hall. Mayor Michael called the meeting to Order at 7:10 p.m. On the Roll Call, the
following were found to be present: Councilor Roach, Councilor Hammer, Councilor Sedlack,
Councilor Liechty and Councilor Rokicki.
Ed Nightengale and Keith Brackney were present for approval of a Noise Ordinance Waiver for
Relay for Life May 4th and 5th. Motion to approve made by Councilor Roach, seconded by
Councilor Sedlack. Vote was unanimous. Councilor Roach requested that "location" be added to
the request form. CT Jones stated she would add and forward a new form to Doug Cox at
DePauw.
® Resolution 2002 -16, A Resolution electing to Enlarge Participation in the Public Employees'
Retirement Fund, CT Jones explained that PERF contacted her regarding the Full -time
Maintenance position at the Park. CT Jones stated that they accepted the money for past FT
Maintenance workers at the Park, but have decided that we now need to enlarge our coverage.
Motion to approve made by Councilor Roach, seconded by Councilor Hammer. Vote was
unanimous.
Interviews for the School Board appointment were conducted with the following: Barbara
Bryan, Jeanie Menzel and Sophia Spencer. Each applicant introduced themself and gave a brief
statement as to why they are interested in being appointed to the School Board. Councilmembers
asked questions which were answered by each applicant. This appointment will be made at the
May 14th Regular Council Meeting.
Motion to adjourn made by Councilor Liechty, seconded by Councilor Roach. Vote was
unanimous.
