ESTABLISHING SALARY SCHEDULES AND FIXING
THE MATTER OF PAY~NTS OF SALARIES FOR
VARIOUS OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE
BOROUGH OF CARTERET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF
CARTERET IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the following Amendment of the above entitled
Ordinance be made in Section 1:

Police Officer- 1st Year 27,500 27,500 29,150
Uniform Allowance and Uniform Maintenance has been included in
the 1997 base pay. This amount was previously paid to Police
Department employees and will not be included in the 1997
retroactive pay calculation.
New Longevity step effective January 1, 1997
29 years and over 15% of base salary
SECTION 2. That the Schedule of Compensation of this
Ordinance shall take effect upon passage and publication as
provided by Law.
