A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE WATER/SEWER CONNECTION FEES FOR THE
CITY OF MOAB.
WHEREAS, Utah State law provides that water and sewer connection fees should cover
the average cost of providing water and sewer connection; and
WHEREAS, City staff have estimated the average cost of providing water and sewer
connections; and
WHEREAS, the City of Moab's current connection fees are generally higher than the
average cost of providing a connection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Moab City Council that the rates for
water and sewer connection fees shall be as follows:

Fees for larger connections and meters shall be prorated.

Should the actual cost of installation to the City exceed the minimum fee, the applicant
shall pay the additional cost.
Water and sewer connection fees shall be assessed on the date of application.
THIS RESOLUTION SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON PASSAGE.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in open Council by a majority of the Governing Body of the
City of Moab this 23`d day of June, 1998.
