Continuation of regulr'r meeting of Ja nuary 5, 1959.
Members present were:

The Chairman stated the prirpo e of the meeting was to fill the two vacanies
now existing oA the McCall Memoria#'Hospital Board. A letter to the Board
of Trustees with the following recommendations for consideration to fill
the two vacanies was read. Mr. Howard Carney, Dale Fickle, Betty Norwood.
William Powers, Nell Tobias. Roberts briefly reviewed the post terms
and office14s of the Board. The recommendations of the Hospital Board
were briefly discussed following which the Board by secret ballot voted
on two of the recommended names for appointment to the Board. Samuel Defier
and William Powers were duly selected. For a second choice, in the event
that either Powers or Defter does not choose to accept, George Elliott
was chosen the alternate. Roberts stated reorganization of the Board would
probably be held on the next meeting of the Board which would be about the
10fh of the Month.
A letter from the Department of Highways regarding angle parking was read to
the Board which pointed out that the Village was in violation of the taw.
Roberts proposed to write them a letter to discuss the problem with us.
Roberts also reported on a meeting with the Highway Bo rd ond pointed out
that no meeting had been held with the Village Board members on the proposed
by-pass. The Village Board was invited to a meeting to be held at the Grange
regarding the relocation of the road between Donnelly and McCall. Rderts
read age Cher letter from the Highway Dept. regarding, the actual photos of the
Village for use by the zoning commission.
Roberts brought up for discussion the work of the Chief of Police that was
done for Valley County and stated he was opposed to his being paid by the
County. Roberts stated he wo<;ld discuss this matter with the Board prior
to the February meeting at which time any pay change would be discussed.
There followed a short discussion on circumstances which would require his
being out of town, etc. The a-, roximate number of hours, the police work for
the County were to be discussed at the next meeting.
The suit against the Vi l loge of McCall bro :ght by Maude Ryder wr,s reported
on by the Clerk.
