D.MeCall Chas Arnold John Berr~r ' ~'Gm. De inhard C.J.Allen ---------Present. ---------- ri . -------------Absent . There was a number of visitors present. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. ~Zrs Cook was present and asked that the town furnish a light for the lo~by of the Post Office,and also have the Marshall a-ctend to locking of the Post Office each evening. Motion by D~inhard that the city pay for the light in the Post Office and have the i~Farshail attend to the 1©cking of same.Seconded by Berry.Vote was unanimous in favor of motion. 261 J.H.Hayes was present and informed the Council that if the Village ~:~nted wood for the pumping plant the Brown Tie & Lumber Co. would furnish it as per their contract with the Village or, it they preferred to have it cut and hauled in zrom elsewhere it wa.s satisfactory with them as they cQUld sell all the wood they would cut Some members of the Council were in favor of letting the mill dispose of their wood and the Vi11ag -e would buy their wood elsewhere and thereby provide more labor for the townspeople. The matter of opening up the 1st. Alley sough of Colman Ave.was brought up and discussed.Motion made by Arnold that the Board T~Zembers look over the job with the idea of ascertaining what the cost would be. Seconded by B~eCa1l.Vot® was unanimous in ' favor of motion.Friday evening Aug.Stn.was set as the date for looking it over. Clerk was requested to read pipe prices which had been submitt -ed by Paeifie Pipe 8c Tank Co.o~ San Francisco;The Federal Pip -e and Tank Co. of Seattle; the P~arren Pl~bing 8c Heating 80. of Nampa,Idaho.The Marren Co's prices were found to be the lowest, No further action waa te~ken at this meeting except that the Council decided to estimate the amount of Pipe needed. Chas Arnold informed the Council -that the staging under the water tank was badly in need of repairs.Motion was made by Reinhard that Arnold be appointed to supervise the work of repairing the tank.Seconded by ~IeCeli.Vote was unanimous in favor of motion. Leonard Ackaret requested the Council for permission to have some sand and gravel hauled and dumped in the holes in the street ~~~ opposite the Sa~~ Mill.IuTotion by ~ein.r~ard that local truck men be asked for bids for about~~20 yds of sand and grave -1.Seconded by Berxy.Vote we.s unanimous in favor of motion.
