HomeMy Public PortalAbout1935.10.07 Council MinutesMINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF McCALL, IN VALLEY COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall, in the County of Valley, State of Idaho, was held at 8 o'clock P. M., October 7, 1935. Meeting was called to order by W. C. Peer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Upon roil call the following were found presents Trustee W. C. Peer Trustee Wm. Deinhard Trustee J. E. Freeman Trustee J. A. Howell Trustee W. E. McCall W. E. Jordan, Village Clerk Trustee Wm. Deinhard presented the following resolution: "WHEREAS., the Chairman and the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall have heretofore directed and authorized Messrs. W. H. Gibson and G. C. Scharf, engineers for the Village of McCall, to prepare plans and specifications for a proposed construction and installation of a sewer system and sewage disposal plate in and for the Village of McCall, and WHEREAS, said Engineers have prepared and presented to the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall, in Valley County, State of Idaho, plans and specifications covering said sewer system and disposal plant, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the plans and speci- fications covering; the propsed sewer system and disposal plant in and for the said Village of McCall, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted, and that the same be filed with the Village Clerk." It was moved by Trustee J. E. Freeman, Second by Trustee J. A. Howell, that the said resolution be adopted. The motion being put, upon roll call, the following vote was had: Trustee W. C. Peer Yes A draft of an Ordinance was presented to the Board of Tree -tees submitting to the qualified electors of the Village of McCall, in the County of Valley, State of Idaho, who are tax- payers of the said Village of McCall, for their determination, the question of issuing the negotiable coupon bonds of the Village of McCall in the sum of *17,400.00, to provide funds with which to construct and install a sewer system and. sewage disposal plant in and for the Village of McCall by purchasing the necess- ar terials, constructing and layirvr. seder mains, laterals and Sedimentation tank, -,rovidi.ng the maximum rate; of :interest- on said bonds, which shall not exceed six per cent .per am .gym; provid- ing the ultimate maturity of said bond issue shall be twenty (2p) years from the date of issuing; making a provision for the levy and collection of a tax necessary to pay the principal � 64 the interest accruing; upon said bonds upon an annual amortization Man 1932, as provided by Section 55-211 of the Idaho Code "nnotate4as a- mended by Chapter 95, Session Laws of Idaho, 1935; prescribing the form of notice to be given to the qualified electors of said Village of McCall who are taxpayers thereof, of the holding of such. election; a form of ballot tc be used in voting thereat; fix- ing the time and place of holding such election and naming the election officers to serve thereat. It was moved by Trustee J. E. Freeman, seconded by Trustee r'. E. McCall, that the rules be dispensed with as provided in Section 49-1604 of the Idaho Code Annotated, 1932, and that the Ordinance be read twice by title and once in full and at length, and placed upon final passage. The motion being put, upon roll call the following vote was had: `trustee W. C. Peer Yes Trustee Wm.
