Chairman .deer explained to those present the purpose u- of the meeting and the necessity of raising the levy in order to provide funds with which to improve the water system. A standing vote was taken on the question," Shall the Village Board of Trustees make an additional b kill, General Fund Levy to provide Funds with which to improve the Tater System . Votes in favor of Levy were 21. Against Levy, None. The matter of what best to do to improve the water system was discussed. Whether a well should be drilled as suggested by the State Board of Health or whether the Intake should be extended farther out in the Lake and the water be chlorinated. fir C.L.Brown suggested that ballots be made and distributed dor vote of those present to decide the matter. This was done. The ballots were marked as follows. In favor of drilling Well. In favor of extending Intake Pipe. There were 32 ballots cast which when counted showed. In favor of drilling Well. I8. Place, MCCALL, IDAHO Date Sealed bids subject to the conditions contained herein will be received until hr Date and publicly opened for furnishing all labor, materials, power supplies and equipment required for drilling, developing, testing and finishing complete at, McCall one Deep well. Bids will be considered only from individuals or contractors possessing satisfactory financial and technical ability, equipment and drilling rig to insure speedy completion of the contract and in making the award the records of bidders for satisfactory performance on similar contracts will be carefully considered, the right is reserved by the village to re- ject or accept any and all bids or to waive any informality in bids received.. A bidders bond or certified check, not less than 10% of total bid will be required with each bid to insure the execution of the contract and no bid will be considered unless it is so guaranteed. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond or cer- tified check in the amount not less than 100% of total contract. METHOD OF PROCEDURE: The work shall be executed in such a manner as to interfere as little as possible with the normal functioning of the Village roads, walks and passage ways must not be obstructed except as necessary in the prosecution of the work. The engineer shall be consulted as to working space and space for depositing materials. All existing work on premises damaged or disturbed because of this work shall be neatly re- paired and made good and all left in as good a condition as When work was begun, all to the satisfaction of the engineer. This well is to be drilled approximately 200 feet deep or there abouts with 10" standard pipe, a. gurantee of 100 feet will be allowed driller on said contract, any water boring strata struck below SO foot level, the contractor is to make a pumping test to determine the flow and draw down of water, pump to throw at least 200 GPM., if sufficient water is not struck the contractor is to drill to next strata and make same test all to satisfaction of Engineer in charge: if sufficient water is struck can order contractor to complete the well at that depth. On completion of well uumning test is to run at least 12 hours. Pipe must be 10" new pipe, the well most be plumb and straight. Contractor is to make a log of the well and also notes showing size, depth, and all details of construction of the well before payment will be made to partial payments will be made during performance of contract. Bidders should submit price per foot for drilling, casing and completion of well. Per foot.
