OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF McCALL, VALLEY COUNTY, STATE OF IDAHO
A regular meeting of the Baird of Trustees of the Village
of McCall, in Valley County, State of Idaho, was held in the
Village Hall in the Village of McCall, at 8:00 o'clock P. M.
on Monday, the 5th day of October, 1936,
The meeting was called to order by W. C. Peer, Chairman
of the Board of Trustees. Upon roll call the following were
found to be present: Trustees W. C. Peer, M. Deinhard,
J. E. Freeman, W. E. McCall, and J. A. Howell, and Village
Clerk W. E. Jordan.
All the members of the Board of Trustees being present,
the following proceedings were had, to wit:
A draft of a proposed ordinance authorizing notice of
proposal to issue and sell negotiable coupon bonds of the
Village of McCall, Valley County, State of Idaho, in the prin-
cipal sum of seventeen thousand four hundred dollars, and
inviting bids therefor, and prescribing the form of notice to
be given, and repealing ordinance No. 92 of the Village of
McCall, Valley County, Idaho, was thereupon presented to the
Board of Trustees.
It was moved by Trustee Deinhard and seconded by Trustee
Freeman that the rules be dispensed with as provided in Section
49-1804 of the Idaho Code Annotated, 1932, and that the ordi-
nance be read twice by title and once in full at length and
placed upon its final passage. The motion being put, upon roll
call the following vote was had:
Trustee W. C. Peer, aye
Trustee Wm. Deinhard, aye
The ordinance was read the first time by title, and the
Chairman of the Board of Trustees declared the first reading
thereof. The ordinance was read the second time by title
and the Chairman delcared the second reading thereof. The
ordinance was read in full and at length and the Chairman
declared the third reading thereof and submitted the question:
"Shall the ordinance pass?"
The question being put, upon roll call the following
vote was had:
Trustee W. C. Peer, aye
Trustee Wm.Deinhard, aye
Trustee J. E. Freeman, aye
Trustee W. E. McCall, aye
Trustee J. A. Howell, aye
There being no negative note, the Chairman of the Board
of Trustees declared and announced that said ordinance had
passed unanimously.
It was moved by Trustee Howell and seconded by Trustee
McCall that the ordinance be given the number 941 and that
said ordinance be published in The Payette Lake Star, a news-
paper published and having general circulation within the
Village of McCall, Valley County, Idaho, according to law.
The motion being put, upon roll call, the following vote was
had:
Trustee W. C. Peer, aye
Trustee Wm. Deinhard, aye
Trustee J. E. Freeman, aye
Trustee W. E. McCall, aye
Trustee J. k. Howell, aye
Whereupon the Chairman of the Board of Trustees announced and
declared that said motion passed unanimously.
After discussion of the offer of Gordon C. Smith, engineer
of Boise, Idaho, to render certain engineering services to the
Village of McCall, Idaho, in the construction of a sewerage
system for said Village, the following resolution, numbered 95,
and entitled "A Resolution Accepting the Offer of Gordon C.
Smith to the Village of McCall, Valley County, State of Idaho,
to Render Certain Engineering Services in the Construction of
a Sewerage System" was proposed by Wm. Deinhard and read in
full:
RESOLUTION NO. 95
k RESOLUTION ACCEPTING TUE OFFER OF GORDON C. SMITH
TO THE VILLAGE OF McCALL, VALLEY COUNTY, STATE OF
IDAHO, TO RENDER CERTAIN ENGINEERING SERVICNIS IN
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWERAGE SYSTEM.
BE IT RESOLVED By the Chairman and Board of Trustees of
the Village of McCall, Valley County, State of Idaho:
Section 1. That the offer of Gordon C. Smith, engineer
of Boise, Idaho, to the Village of McCall, Idaho, to render
certain engineering services in the construction of a sewerage
system, which offer is as follows:
"October 1, 1936
Mre Peer, Chairman of the Board
McCall, Idaho
Dear Sir:
Mr. Eastman met me at my office last evening
and we discussed the installation of the sewer at
McCall, in detail, including an examination of the
papers prepared by Mr. Scharf. *****
From the Scharf plans as now approved by
the Council:
I will prepare the necessary plans for sub-
mission to the PWA;
I will write the specifications covering
the installation of the project;
I will write construction documents and
Would desire to make at least one complete in-
spection of the project before presenting the. plans and
specifications, in company with Mr. Bastman, and on
this trip to receive my actual transportation and hotel
expense-- if using my own car this car to be charged at
the rate of 5V per mile;
To assist the Council, your attorney and your
engineer in preparation of all the various papers and
documents which must be clear listed prior to the letting
of the contract;
My work to be completed after contract shall be
entered into and the matter will then be entirely in
Yr. Eastman's hands.
To perform the work reiterated above I would
desire a fee of 500 and such expenses as outlined, pay-
able by the City Council in the amount of t250.00 as
soon as funds may be available, and the remaining 4250.
after contract has bedn signed by the City Of McCall
and a responsible contractor.

be and the same is hereby accepted.
Section 2. That the Chairman of the Board of Trustees
be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to enter into a
written contract for and on behalf of the Village of YaCall,
Idaho, with the said Gordon C. Smith, the terms of which said
contract to be in accordance with this resolution.

The above resolution was seconded by J. A. Howell and was
adopted with the following voting aye:
The Chairman thereupon declared said resolution carried
and the Chairman thereupon signed said resolution in approval
thereof.
There being no further business to come before the Board
of Trustees, the meeting was adjourned to meet again on the
6th day of October at 8:00 o'clock P. M.
