That the bills be paid as read. Seconded by '.Fatkins. Vote was unanimous on favor of motion. The ;election returns were canvassed by the Board and it was found that ' . P. Gillespie, L. i. Bonecher and Verren E. Brown had been elected to rill the three vacancies on the Board of Trustees_. Lr. Gillespie amid Lr. Bonecher being present were sworn in by the Clerk. Lr. Brown was not present at this meeting. Lr. Gillespie and Iir. Bonecher were selected for the two 4 year terms. and Lr. Brown when qualified would be appointed for the 2 year term. Chairmen. Peer appointed Lr. Gillespie as Finance CoamisSi0ner and Lr. Bonecher as Street Commissioner. ir.C. 'T . Lanning was present et this meeting- and complained on behalf of himself and seven of his neighbors, that I,r. E. J. Geelan was keeping a punch of dogs near their hones and that they would like have them removed from their neighborhood. Chairman Peer instructed the Larshali to notify Lr.Geelan that this nuisance would have to be abated. The question of appointing e Water Laster and Street Commissioner was discussed . Vote was unanimous in favor of motion. E. Jordan , Village Clerk, requested of the Board, that due to the fact that an Ordinance woula have to be drawn setting the salaries or Village officers to conform to the oiler or N .1.Uarr thatthe Salary of Clerk & Treasurer be raised from 0.00 to $20.00 per Lontn. Brown as ' eter Commissioner. rr The report from the Committee appointed. at the Ley -3rd meeting to investigete the proposal submitted by 6tie Brown Tie Lumber Co. preteining to pumping the water for the Village, was requested uy Chairmen Peer. The Committee stated that they were in favor -�' or the proposal. Lotion by Gillespie. That proposal ue accepted. Seconded by Bonecher. Vote was unanimous in fevor of mo aon. The question of painting and repairing the Village `all and Dose Cart .Louse Was discussed. Lotion by Brown. That City I`all be wire brushed and given 2 coats of paint and fence around City Bali be given 2 coats of paint that Bose Cart house be covered with Ter paper over present siding and put new siding over. same, build 26 foot Tower on nose Cart douse same to be 4 feet square with 44 inch corner posts, walls to be,covered with two courses of siding with tar paper between, roof to be t pitch. and covered with metel roofing, remove cupola end put metal root' on Pose Cart; House and give sides and ends of Dose Cart Fouse and Tower 2 coats of paint., and that suitable drums for hoisting nose be installed in top of Toner., and that Clerk be instructed to semi out invitations for aids for the job es specified above. That an emergency be declared to exist and that the rules requiring the reading of en Ordinance et three consecutive meetings before voting on seme be dispensed with and that Ordinance ho.97 be reed twice by Title and the third time in Tull and final vote be te.ken on same. Seconded by Gillespie. Vote was unanimous in favor or motion. ';hereupon Ordinance No.y`l, was reed by the Clerk. Twice by Title and the third time in full and placed .or final vote. Trustee Brown stated that nominations were in order for Chairman for the recently eiectea and organized Board of Trustees, and nominated Lr. P. Gillespie as a candidate for Chairman.
