Motion by Brown. That the pills be paid as read. Seconded
by Bonecher. Vote was unanimous in favor of motion.
There was a number of v4sitors present. Resignation of
J. o ell as a member of the Board or Trustees was read by the
Cie s hat resignation be accepted and that E. Atkins be
appoin ed to serve the unexpired term of Ir. Howell. Seconded by
Bonecner, Vote wg.S unanimous an iavor of motion. Mr. Tatkins being
present 'Treed to accept the position..
The matter of nav img Brown Tie & Lumber Co. pump the waiter
for the coming Bt»ner was.discussed. Motionby Gillespie. That they
began pumping on Eay loth and continue thitil the mill closes this Falf0:0'
Seconded by Tatkins. Vote was unanimous in favor of motion.
The mutter of appointing a Village Earehail to succeed bar.
Stephens was discussed. a number of Business lien who were present
requested that Mr. Guy Conyers 06 appointed to the position but that
they would prefer that he would continue with the night shift and a
day Earsnall be hired for a few months in the Summer. Motion by
Tatkins. That Mr. Conyers ue hired as the regular Village Marshall
and be paid a salary or iii100.00 per Month. the year around. Seconded
by Brown. Vote was unanimous in savor of motion.
A complaint was made that a local Pastime known as Freds
Place was becoming a nuisance. Motion by Brown. That Marshall inform
Er. Fred Jonnson, Proprietor or the Pastime, That this nuisance must
be abated or his license would be revoked. Seconded by Gillespie. Vote
was unanimous in iavor of motion.
