IRONDEQUOIT WAS HELD REMOTELY DUE TO PUBLIC GATHERING RESTRICTIONS AND EXECUTIVE
ORDERS IN PLACE BECAUSE OF COVID-19, THIS PLANNING BOARD MEETING WAS CONDUCTED
REMOTELY ON MONDAY, JUNE 22, 2020 AT 7:00 P.M. TO CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING CASES:

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Chairman Blocchi instructed the applicants and the public as to the
procedure to be followed for presentation of cases and public input. He stated that the meeting is being recorded
and is not intended to be a verbatim record but only to indicate the sum and substance of the proceedings.
Case No: PB2020-06-1
Upon the matter of request by Aurea Rosa Santos, for SIGNAGE APPROVAL, to install window signage, on
premises 545 TITUS AVENUE, (Titus Mall) in a MUC – Mixed Use Commercial District.
After hearing the applicant’s presentation, the following spoke at public input.
Ann Burns, HIPP Group:
• Commend relocating the business in the neighborhood.
• Suggested to place a small-scale sign above the door.
• Thought she wouldn’t need to include the street and city address, just an identifier.
• Would a sign panel be installed on the marquee at the road?
Public Hearing closed.
Monroe County Department of Planning Referral: N/A
After Board discussion, the Board determined:
The Board classified this as a TYPE II ACTION as its Determination of Significance pursuant to SEQRA.
ON MOTION by Board Member RICHARDS, seconded by Board Member HOLLENBECK, carried:
UNANIMOUSLY the Board: Granted the Signage Approval as presented.
Case No: PB2020-06-2
Upon the matter of request by Ken Schwenker, for STEEP SLOPE & WOODLOT ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION OVERLAY DISTRICT (EPOD) APPROVALS, to construct a new detached garage, on
premises 285 SHORE DRIVE, in a R-3 Residential District.
After hearing the applicant’s presentation; no one spoke at public input and the public hearing was closed.
Monroe County Department of Planning Referral: N/A
After Board discussion, the Board determined:
The Board classified this as a TYPE II ACTION as its Determination of Significance pursuant to SEQRA.
ON MOTION by Board Member RICHARDS, seconded by Board Member BLOCCHI, carried: UNANIMOUSLY the
Board: Granted the Steep Slope and Woodlot EPOD permits as presented subject to the following condition:
• Subject to ZBA approval granted Area Variances.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
ON MOTION by Board Member EVELAND, seconded by Board Member PALERMO, carried: 6 AYE, 0 NAY, 1
ABSTAINED, 0 ABSENT, the Board Approved the MAY 18, 2020 Planning Board Minutes.
There being no further business to come before the Board, on Motion by Board Member RICHARDS, seconded by Board
Member BLOCCHI and carried: UNANIMOUSLY, the meeting was adjourned at 7:41p.m.
