John A.Donohue, WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance 0-2010.2, the Watertown Historic Landmarks
Councilor At Large Ordinance,Chapter 156, the Town may designate sites atilt structures which constitute or reflect important elements

Anthony Palomba, WHEREAS,the Walker Bonne and School("Walker"), is the owner of property in the Town of Watertown

District C Councilor it recommendation that the Abljah White House be designated as a Historic Landmark pursuant to the
Historic Landmarks Ordinance;and

District D Councilor WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2 of the Historic Landmarks Ordinance,the Historical Couunission
prepared a repot or the proposed Landmark's historical,architectural and other relevant significance;and
WHEREAS,on April 11,2013 the Historical Commission held a public hearing on the issue of whether to
recommend designation of the Abljah White House as a Lardnnnik and voted unanimously to recommend to
the Town Council that the Abijnh White House be designated as n Historic Landmak pursuant to file terms
of the Historic Landmarks Otelinonce.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that [lie Town Council of the City known as tine Town of Watertown
hereby recognizes the architectural, cultural,and aesthetic significance of the Abijoh White Ilotse as determined by
the Historical Commission;and therefore Orders the designation of the Abljah White House located at 917 Belmont
Street as a Watertown Historic Landmark;and further directs that this Order,with the appended"Plat to Accompany
Landmark Status Application"be forthwith recorded with the Registry of Deeds for the South District of Middlesex
County.

the Town of Watertown,hereby accepts pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter
44, Section 53AI/2, a gift of banners generously donated by The Rotary Club.
