A regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall was
held on the above date and the following business transacted:

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Glenn Howell;
Fred Gardner and Bob Fogg appeared before the Board representing the Johnson
Flying Service to discuss the airport lease. The matter of the lease for the
current year was discussed at length. Johnson Flying service requested that
they be allowed to lease the airport on a long term lease of from three to five
years. The maintenance of the airport was discussdd and Bob Fogg stated that
provided the Village would continue to level the strip in the spring and haul
off any accumulation of rocks that there would be very little, if any, other
maintenance to be paid by the Village.
Motion by Wallace Hiatt seconded by Bob McBride; that the Village Attorney draw
up a lease between the Village of McCall and Johnson Flying Service for the
use of the McCall airporkfor commercial purposes for a period of three years
at a yearly fee of $600.00. Said lease to begin May 1st. 1949. Carried.
A check in the amount of $450.00 covering the use of the airpost from May 1,
1948, to May 1, 1949, was then received from the Johnson Flying Service.
Roy May appeared before the Board for the Chamber of Commerce. Mr. May
submitted a rough draft of a proposed plan for the Vi11Age Dock which had been
prepared by the ChaMker of Commerce Dock Committee. The total cost of the
material for the propos ed dock would be approximately $2,400.00.
Motion by Bob McBride seconded by Wallace Hiatt; that the Village accept the
proposed igen for the Village Dock as submitted by the Chamber of Commerce and
immediately go ahead with the purchase of the material for said dock. Carried.
Tom Rigney appeared before the Board and requested that the Village replace the
water mains due to the fact that the fire insurance rates are excessive.
Tony Beaver appeared before the Board to ask that they take action to try and
relieve the man made static interference which is so detrimental to radio
reception in McCall. The Board ask Mr. Beaver to make a survey and determine
where interference was coming from and report to the next regular meeting.
Motion by Wallace Hiatt seconded by Joe Kasper; that Ordinance #149 covering
Chance Prize Gamds be repealed. Carried.
Motion by Wallace Hiatt seconded by Joe Kasper; that the rules be suspended and
that Ordnance # A vbe read once at length and twice by title and put upon itts
final passage. Carried.
The vote on the passage of Ordinance #61S-was unanimous.
Motion by Bob McBride seconded by Wallace Hiatt; that Glenn Howell be appointed
as a committee of one to contact the Governor regarding the condition of the
highway between Boise and McCall. Carried.
