A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall was held on the
above date for the purpose of hiring am attendant for the golf course and any other
business which might come before the meeting.
Roll Call:
Glenn Howell
Ralph Paris
Bob McBride
Joe Kasper
Wallace Hiatt
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman Glenn Howell.
The bill of A. D. Smith for wiring a sump pump in the amount of $8.40 was read and
approved.
The following applications for the job of operating the golf course were read by
the clerk: Lewis Seiber - Harry Hunt - Virgil Eldridge.
Tom Edlefsen appeared before the Board and made a personal application for the job
at the golf course.
Motion by Wallace Hiatt seconded by Ralph Paris that a contract be drawn up between
the Village and Tom Edlefsen to operste the golf course for the year 1949. Carried.
Gene Freeman suggested that the following chokes be made in the rates at the gold
course:
$1.00 per day on week days
1.50 n n n Saturdsys, Sundays and Holidays
.50 per 9 holes after 4:30
That weekly tickets be made to apply toward the purchase of season tickets.
Mr. Freeman also suggested that the course be sprayed with DDT two or three times
each year.
At this time Glenn Howell tendered his resignation to the Board.
Motion by Ralph Paris seconded by Joe Kasper that the resignation of Glenn Howell
be accepted. Carried.
Ralph Paris was appointed Chairman Pro-tem.
Motion by Joe Kasper seconded by Bob McBride that Art Roberts be appointed to the
Village Board of Trustees. Carried.
At this time Joe Kasper tendered his resignation to the Board.
Motion by Wallace Hiatt seconded by Bob McBride that the Board accept the resigna
tion of Mr. Kasper. Carried.
Mot ion by Art Roberts seconded by Wallace Hiatt that Forest Goodrich be appointed
to fill the unexpired term of Joe Kasper. Carried.
Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Bob McBride that Art Roberts b e elected
Chairman of the Village Board. Carried.
At this time Art Roberts took the chair.
Forest Goodrich was appointed to carry on the work of purchasing the materials
for the Village dock.
The matter of a night policeman was brought before the Board and the Board suggested
that Mr. Harry hunt be eonheeted and if he would accept the job that he be put on
a months trial.
No further business coming before the Board the meeting was adjourned at 10:35PM.
