Glenn Howell, mayor
McCall, Idaho
Dear Mayor Howell:
During our brief conversation with
lir. Ted did"egener you mentioned you must soon face the dog
problem in McCall. Your City'`young and progressive and
with the right start there is no reason why you can't
solve this problem to everyone's satisfaction as many other
small cities have done.
For a a0.00 membership the American
Humane Association, 135 tiashington Avenue, Albany 6, New
York, will send you books, pictures, building plans and
advise you of the problems you will face and the proper
way to handle them. They have had seventy two years of
experience and have given help to the hundreds of cities
that have called on them for advice. I also have letters,
ordinances etc. from Seattle and T any other cities.
If McCall will start now and build an
organization that can handle all animal problems throughout
the years to curie you willhave saved yourself and every
citizen of your community a great deal of grief and trouble.
Believe me I speak from first hand knowledge. .dieexpect
some publicity and pictures in the Statesman very soon which
will give you a good idea of what poor organization on the
part of a community as a whole can do.
Sincerely,
V
