HomeMy Public PortalAbout1949.06.06 Council MinutesJune 6, 1949 A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall was held on the above date and the following business transacted: Roll Call: Art Roberts Forest Goodrich Henry Hoff Fred Kerby The meeting was called to order by Chairman Art Roberts. The Junior Chamber of Commerce was granted the concession rights for the Fourth of July by the following motions Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Henry Hoff that the Village grant concession rights for the Fourth of July to the Junion Chamber of Commerce and to any other local civic club. Carried. Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Henry Hoff that Geo. Riverbergts salary be increased to $55.00 per month for taking care of the Village dump. Increase effective June 1, 1949. Carried. The matter of the trade between the Village and Claude Avery was tabled until the next regular meeting. The minutes of May 2nd, and 9th were read and approved. Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Henry Hoff that the following street lights be installed; one at the Public Beach east of Lardo birdge; one at the second lot west of Warren Brown's home and temporary light for parking on Lenora Street at the Stover and Nelson lot. Carried. Nic Eubanks ask for a fire inspection of the Gus Davis building, the Lake Club and the May Hardware. Leonard A ckaret was to make the inspection. Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Henry Hoff that the speed limit on the main highway be fixed at 30 miles per hour. Carried. The matter of minors drinking in the joints was discussed and the Chief of Police cautioned to control the same. The building of roads in the Brundage Sub -division was discussed by the Board. M otion by Henry Hoff seconded by Forest Goodrich that the motion of April 15, 1949, covering golf course rates be made void. Carried. Motion by Forrest Goodrich seconded by Henry Hoff that the Village pay for the phone at the Golf Course. Carried.
