HomeMy Public PortalAbout1949.07.11 Council MinutesJuly 11, 1949 A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of McCall was held on the above date and the following business transacted: Roll Call: Art Roberts Forest Goodrich Bob McBride Fred Kerby Henry Hoff The meeting was called to order by Chairman Art Roberts. The Chairman announced that he had appointed Lloyd Nelson to look after the Golf Tournament. Lloyd Nelson reported that Newton Carter was to run the tournament again this year. The cups have been ordered and the tournament will be run off as it was last year. Notion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Bob McBride that the special police for the Fourth of July be paid the difference between what they were paid and $1.00 per hour. Carried. Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Bob McBride that the Village trade properties with Claude Avery as set out in the resolution prepaired by C. Ben Martin,the Village Attorney, provided Mr. Avery move the gravel and posts. Carried. Motion by Forest Goodrich seconded by Fred Kerby that the Clerk write to the State Law Enforceme t pe artment and ask cooperation by the State Police in the effort er'Apeed limits on the highway through McCall. Carried. The matter the limits matter was 13th. of the request of the Payette Lakes Inn to be brought within of the Village of McCall was discussed by the Board. The postponed until a special meeting to be held Wednesday July Art Roberts and Fred Kerby reported on the progress being made on the roads in the Brundage sub -division. The clerk was instructed to write to Edsil Grover of Beal Pipe & Tank Corporation and to Dick Thomas of Armco Div. of Hardesty Corp. regarding culverts for the new streets. Motion by Bob McBride seconded by Forest Goodrich that the Village get easments for the streets in the Geelan Addition. Carried.
