Please do Not Smoke signs for playgrounds: when will they be up? Last requested on 1/26/10 3. A resident approached me because she would like to donate a bench at the entrance to Whitney Woods. Is this possible and who would she contact? 4. Recycle center. A resident gave me some photos she had taken of illegal dumping and leaving inappropriate materials. She wondered whether an infrared camera might be helpful to identify offenders. Also, the No dumping signs there are hand -lettered and not professional looking. Would it possible to get better signage for the area? 5. Deborah Peterson and I met last fall with Gerry Mee, Steve Magoon, Danielle Finis` -Nancy Scott ma , to clarify the rules and enforcement practices with regard to increasing the paved area of a resident's property. We learned that a permit is required to re -pave a driveway but this often happens without,a permit and there is no follow-up to see if the permit regulations were followed. There is also no attempt to encourage the homeowner to consider parking solutions that would minimize the impervious surface in town. One concrete (no pun intended) decision that came out of that meeting was that the DPW would resigst " efore" photos when the permit request is submitted. I wonder if you could ow t at is working out and whether the DPW is considering any other measures to reduce impervious surfaces on residential properties.
