Armstrong n Fred I~. Rerby n Sterling Clark n Ddeeting called to order by Chairman Roberts. Minutes of June 2,1952 read and approved. '~. Shelley Timm appeared before the Board requesting help in laying the sewer line down the Hi Way South of Town as the sptic tanks are not taking care ofjSthe sewage. The Chairman explained the position of the Board asto why expenditures had been in the past i.n the East end of town and the renewing of the ~raoc avatar lines this year. Jess M:~ore told the Board that theb line down the Hi may would cost about X43,000.00; This would include two pumping plants. After considerable discussion the Chairman suggested that the Board have a survey made and the matter brought before the Board again. The Chairman stated that he had cantaeted Divers and get the water intake fob done for X4000.00 at X100.00 per day at 50 ft.~de raduating up to X712.00 per day at 90 ft, .The diver will furnish all diving equipment and an assistant and would put up a bond covering the work. The Clerk and ~atermaster was instructed to write the Diver and sea how much he would contract the Sob for and also tell him that the General Contractor will be here on P~ednesday. ;, The Chairman and Bob Rsmakalus met with John Stringer and P,Gr.Stringer made }`. the following statement: that he would dead a strip 300 ft,wide,for approximately 1400 ft.,the Board to run pipe lines for] drainage and water also to build the proper fences also deed him the surplus land on the Southeast end of the present airport. He also suggested the the Village forget the present site and construct the Airport on the S9sst side of the river on cheap dry land. In such case he would be willing to donate x.000,00 for such project. This is as far as Mr. Stringer will go,anry further land would have to be under condemnation proceed- ings and he has no sympathy for the Forest Service or the Airforce. The Chairman stated that he would see Mr.Harper in Boise and find out if they mill run a survey on the S~est side of the river, The Chairman brought up the matter of running a water line to the Gemetexy.The matter was discussed but no action taken due to the fact that there are no funds available for such a project. lotion by Kerby,second by Moore that the hourlry maximum rate for extra help be X1,50 per hour as of June 1,1952.
