A regular meeting of the Village 'hoard was held on the above date
and the following business transacted.

iuioore moved the me-ting of June 3, 1954 be adjourned. the motion
was seconded by Armstrong and carried unanimously.
the minutes of the previous meetins were read and approved as read.
Dale Dillon who was Present presented a form of street lighting contract
whihc proposed contract -,bras road at length. After discussion and con-
sideration Kerby moved the adoption of the following resolution:
i'he Chairman of the Board is hereby authorized and directed in his official
capicity to execute said contract and the Clerk is authorized and directed
to affix the corporate seal of the municipality to said contract and to
attest and certi_fythe same and upon execution therof deliver one of said
duplicates ro the Idaho Power Co. and retain tie other is part of the
records of "his office . the motion ;ids seconded by Armstrong and carried
unanimously.
Roberts appointed Kerby, . Kckaret and -Ilion as a co:n; .ittee on street lights .
Mrs . Cook appreard before the Board to protest the moving of her cat
by Ackaret. come damages to tee car were discussed. following discussion
the matter was referred to the attorney fur investigation.
Bill Crooke , the new Police Chief appeared and was intro cuced to
the Board members by Roberts . l''ollowing discussion, Spielman moved
to install a private phone in the residence of tie chief of Police .
The notion was seconded by Kerby and carried tnanimostly.
Percy stated that he wo..el:i take care of the request of t ne State High-
way Dent. in regard tu mileage of streets etc . within the Villa limits.
Roberts reported to the 3oard a meeting with the Coulty 5ornmissioners
in regard to the renayment of the slot machine licenses. ttoberts read
a copy of a letter sent to Ir. P.G. Neill, State Tax Collector, in regard
to the slot licenses due tee State of T ieho .
Roberts reported that the rock markers had been Installed on the airport
with the neln of the forest e'ervice . '',ee markers were painted by the
CAA. oioulton su7:;ested that the Village go ahead with a grass program
and also install a pump in ; system for sprinkling ori_poses . Also the oil
from the old high+ ay had been put on the north end of the runway and is
approximately 330 feet long. The °oard was informed that the final
payment had been received from the CAA on the airport project.
The wall at the Standard. Station was briefly .ti scussed.
Armstrong reported that the Golf 'Tournament will be held on Aug. 9 through
the 15th inclusive. A three year trophy was discussed and "rrnstrong
recommended that the Village sponsor the trophy.
Armstrong reported that he had taken over approximately p190.00 in
merchandise from Mrs. Stevens to apply against the shortage of last year
at the golf course. layments would be made from title to time until the
matter -r was settled. About p103.00 had been sold up to date.
Kerby discussed the problem of dust and the oiling of tine road to the
Course _nd made several anotations to the Board on the Bost of oiling
same.

'i-he matter of the water bill of Warren '- rown was left to Armstrong
and Spielman for settlement .
ackaret reported on the matter of an observation post on top of the
Village shop. Ackaret stated he would present the information to the
--- Jaycees to work out the specifications . Spielman was appointed by the
Chairman to work with the Jaycees on this project.
Spielman stated that Albert and Orville Fleetwood would like to have
a letter from the Village Clerk certifying their standing with the Village
as to their paygnent of Village licenses, fees, etc. The Clerk was
instructed to supply same .
l'he library report was read to the 3oard.
Armstrong moved the rules be suspended for passage of proposed Ordinance
_. , 150 pertaining to the fiscal year budget and mill levy. the :notion was
- seconded and- carried unanimously . ordinance 4180 was read once at
W length and twice by title and put upon its final passage . Moore moved
Ordinate . i15O be passed which was seconded by Ker`::y a :d carried unanim-
ously.
