A regular meeting cf the Village lioard was held on the above date and the following
business transacted:

Armstrong moved the meeting of July 12, 1954 be adjourned. he motion v°ras seconded
by Loore and carried unanimously.
he minutes of the previous meeting were reed. roberts informed the board that
in regard to thQ laying of the rocks on the airport, the State of Idaho and the
Southern Idaho limber Association also assisted. he minutes were approved with
o...; this correction.
' Hooerts reported that he had received a letter from P.O eill in regard to the
o7fer of the Village to pay back the slot monies due the :state, and that the State
had neither accepted nor refused the offer. "obe rt s stated the State Department s,
should contact our auditors in regard to one amount of monies due.
Ackaret reported that the fence at the airport had been let down and sheep had been \
run through the field. The fence has been repaired and signs will be posted to pre-
vent trespassing in the future. "oberts Pl so reported that an o' en ditch had been
left on the Village right ray and that John Stringer wished a culvert put in the fa

Kerber reported that he had submitted a report as re .guested by the State Highway Dept.
on a road noodo stuc r which covered the first five year period but had not com-
pleted the second five year period. Discussion followed on which "oberts informed
the board that the plan was to have the Villages and Counties participate the same
as the State now participates. in regard to Feder�l monies. The `'hairman stated he
would appoint a committee to study the highway request. derby stated he had reques ted
quotations from two oil companies on the oiling which had not been received.
Also present at the meeting were Carl 1Jrown, Ralph `a.ris, Dr. A.E. Pflug and glary
Thurston, halph 'axis presented to the board the hospital plan of the 'Tri-Valley
Hospital Committee. Afterdiscussing the various plans of financing such a pro, et,
the hospital Committee requested the board to submit the plan to the voters of the
village for a-bond election. The hospital Committee felt that a bond in the amount
of . 1.40,000.00 would enable the "oicmittee to go ahead with the construction as the
balance or 505 would be borne by the federal `'ovt. under the Hillburton Act.. There
followed a discussion on the Hillbiurton Act and the methods of qualifing for the monies
under the act. Roberts infor.:ee the hospital board that before any action could be
taken on the p:rt of the Village it would be necessary for the Village attorney to
give the j-oard an opinion on the question of the Vi11are legally proposing the bond
and what the status of the bonds would be if such an election would be celled by the
Village Beard.
Roberts reported that some lots from the Dewey Davis estate were for sale and if the
Village was interested some could be purchased. ,`o action.
Roberts also informed the Board that he had lgeen contacted by a '.Ilan wanting to put
up a central television tower which viewers in the village could hook on to for a fee.

Armstrong informed the Board that the whore Lodge and the ja.ycees are interested in
sponsoring an air breakfast. , ar morell who was present discussed tha disadvantages
and advantages of an air breakfast at this time. It was the opinion of the Board,
following discussion, that if Bob Fo ig would OK the project there would be no objectio n
on the part of the Village Board.
Acheret sta'.od that he had made the necessary arrangements to repair the water tank.
Aobertsl stated that some expression should come fromt~ue Board on the speeding tickets
etc. here followed a discussion on the various problems of law enforcement.
Roberts reported that other Villages have a different rate for water users that are
