SUPPORTING THE GRAND COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT SPECIAL
SERVICE DISTRICT #1 (SOLID WASTE DISTRICT).
Whereas, the Solid Waste District provides solid waste management and disposal services for the
citizens, businesses, and visitors of Grand County at the Klondike and Moab Landfills; and
Whereas, the Solid Waste District needs to complete construction and purchase equipment for
Klondike Landfill and Moab Landfills; and
Whereas, the City of Moab supports all efforts by the Solid Waste District to secure funding for
the needed construction and equipment; and
NOW THEREFORE, THE FOLOWING IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MOAB CITY
COUNCIL.
The City supports the Solid Waste District's funding applications to complete
construction and purchase capital equipment for the Klondike Landfill and the Moab Landfill.
Passed and adopted by action of the Governing Body of the City of Moab in open session this
20h day of October, 1998.
