A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING
THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND WORKING DETAILS FOR THE FOUR
POCKET PARKS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.867, AND
AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS ENGINEERING STAFF TO SOLICIT BIDS
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2011, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
awarded a contract to David Volz Design Landscape Architects, Inc. in the amount of
$41,690 for preparation of the plans, specifications and estimate for the Four Pocket
Parks Construction Project, Project No. 4011.67.867; and
WHEREAS, the plans, specifications and working details for the Four Pocket
Parks of said project are now complete and ready for the City Council's adoption; and
WHEREAS, the project is financed through grant funds from both the State
Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) and the federal Housing and Urban
Development (HUD); and
WHEREAS, the estimated construction cost of the Project is $627,000; and
WHEREAS, the project is ready to be advertised for the solicitation of bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the implementation of the Four Pocket Parks Construction
Project is in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and
adheres to CEQA guidelines, section 15304.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood adopts the plans,
specifications and working details for the Four Pocket Parks Construction Project,
Project No. 4011.67.867.
Section 3. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the
solicitation of bids for the Four Pocket Parks Construction Project, Project No.
4011.67.867.
Section 4. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6 day of September, 2011.
