A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
AFFORDABLE HOUSING PLAN FOR MOAB
WHEREAS, Utah State Legislature passed HB 295 requiring cities to develop an
Affordable Housing Plan; and
WHEREAS, Moab City Planning Commission has reviewed and supports the
recommendations of the Affordable Housing Plan for Moab City;
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Moab City Council that the recommendations of the
Affordable Housing Plan for Moab be adopted as follows:
I. Amend the General Plan to Support Affordable Housing.
2. Amend the General Plan to Support Affordability.
3. Moab City and Grand County Form a Joint Affordable Housing Committee.
4. Disperse Affordable Housing.
5. Amend Zoning Ordinances to Allow Higher Density for Affordable Housing.
6. Provide Different Forms of Assistance for Affordable Housing.
The remainder of the Affordable Housing Plan will be used as reference by the City of Moab.
PASSED AND ADOPTED in open Council by a majority vote of the Governing Body of the
City of Moab this 24th of November, A.D., 1998.
