Hughes REQUIREMENTS FOR TENT FOR 2012 POLAR BEAR PLUNGE (tent measures 30 -feet x 60 -feet) • Tent will be erected by Savannah Special Events by Ranco. • Per provider tent will be erected in a manner to withstand winds of 45 mph. • Tents must be labeled or certification provided relative to flame propagation performance. • Maximum occupant load will be 120. • No cooking devices allowed in tent. • No smoking permitted within the tent. • Provide approved "No Smoking" signs. • Provide a minimum of two (2) approved fire extinguishers. • Keep ground area and 30 -foot perimeter clear of trash and debris. • Provide a minimum of three (3) exits with each exit a minimum of 72- inches in width. • Provide an Emergency Plan. • Provide a minimum of two (2) crowd control managers with one (1) serving as point of contact. It will primarily be registration and possibly a table for the Tybee Post Theater to hand out info, sell additional t- shirts, etc. 2. We will have chairs and tables inside the tent. There will be about 10 -15 volunteers inside the tent at all times to take payments, hand out the swim caps and t- shirts, etc. Unfortunately I cannot predict how many people will be registering at one time, but if Ray is concerned, we can have volunteers help rotate people in and out if there is a maximum we need to adhere to.
