Ientile, Inc., in a total amount not to exceed $725,055.00; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: 1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with James R. The base bid includes all project work and the alternate bid would provide for pattemed stamped and color coated asphalt walkways instead of concrete walkways which are in the base bid. We understand it is the Borough's preference to have the contractor provide concrete walkways for the project as they would provide a longer life than the asphalt walkways. Therefore, it is the Borough's intent to only award the base bid (and not add alternate Al). Ientile, Inc., of 28 Vanderburg Road, Marlboro, NJ 07746 with a Total Bid of $725,055.00. James R. Ientile, Inc has provided a list of similar projects they have performed in New Jersey over the past several years which includes a large park and recreation project. We are currently overseeing a road rehabilitation project in another municipality being performed by Ientile and have found their work to be satisfactory. Therefore, based on their low base bid and satisfactory past performance, it is recommended the Borough award a contract to James R. Ientile, Inc for the Carteret Park Green Acres Improvements project for a total amount of $725,055.00 (Base Bid). Award should be contingent upon certification of funds by the Chief Financial Officer, review of the bid documents by the Borough Attorney, approval from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Division of Wage and Hour Compliance, and concurrence of award by the NJDEP Green Acres Office as may be necessary.
