Also painted a ski chair bus stop bench in Fraser in 2018 Other - Please describe your theme in concept box.My work mainly consists of complex patterns and geometries in deep layers. I often also incorporate eyes into my work, and sometimes reflect scenery in them: as I did on my bench in Fraser with an eye reflecting the surrounding mountainshttps://frasermountainmuralfest.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/7-54f43046f16ce88ee5363d34dc0cc78a/2020/05/image.jpg
Sean & Ana Yarbrough spyartwork@gmail.com (303) 817-3283 spyart303 https://spy-art.com/I have painted a number of murals in the Denver/Boulder area, the most recent being a collaboration with my wife Ana at a fitness and athletic studio/collective in Lodo. For this large 12 x 40 ft mural we chose to create a city like gridded landscape with a colorful mandala illuminating the cosmic night sky above. Ana and I are both accomplished painters with differing styles that are very complimentary when we collaborate. In 2018 I had a solo show at an 1800 square ft space in downtown Denver showcasing over 30 paintings I have completed in the last 6 years. I have won a couple of awards for juried gallery shows on the front range, and we have both studied with visionary painting masters Alex and Allyson Grey. We continue to build on and further explore our unique styles, while creating larger collaborative paintings together
An enticing
portrayal

We
propose to
paint a
similar
cosmic
mandala to
the
attached
photo
(ConcreteC

last mural,
but instead
of an
urban city
scape
below we
would
paint a
section of
the
continental
divide that
portrays
the beauty
of the
Fraser
valley and
unique
location of
our home.
The starry
night sky
above
would be
illuminated
with
aspects of
geometry,
the
colorful
milky way
and
possibly a
subtle face
of a fox or
Ute Native
American
to add
some
history of
our
wonderful
valley. We
would also
add to the
landscape
some of
the local
medicinal
flora found
in the
valley, like
Osha,
Gentian,
Yaro etc.
Its
important
to have
artistic
reminders
of our
kindred
connection
to all
things,
especially
the starry
heavens
above that
can seem
so distant.
Carl Sagan
said it best
"The
cosmos is
within us.
We are
made of
star-stuff.
We are a
way for the
universe to
know
itself."
With the
light
pollution
from cities
we are
unable to
view the
stars as
well as we
once were,
even in our
remote
mountain
town. This
mural will
lift the veil,
and
remind us
that the
stars are
still shining
bright,
above us
and within
us.
Eric Weatherford eric@oddwallpainting.com (217) 855-2652 ericweatherfordart https://www.ericweatherford.com/I am from Decatur, Illinois and have been creating art my entire life. I graduated from Millikin University in 2014 with my Bachelor’s in Studio Art. Upon graduating, I have continued to paint using mostly acrylics and have displayed my work at galleries all across the country. After winning the Decatur Mural Project in 2017, I created my business, Oddwall Painting, after receiving a high demand for hand painted murals in my area. I have painted nearly 30 murals to date that range in all shapes and sizes, with the largest being well over 3,000sqft. Majority of my work can be found in central Illinois as well as St. Louis, MO and one in Reno, NV.My concept pays respect to the beautiful landscape and wildlife that Colorado has to offer in a cartoon inspired, "Picasso-esque" fashion. I would intend to paint a deconstructed moose that resembles the famous 'Bullwinkle' cartoon character, with a background that portrays the landscape you'd find while hiking through the Rockies. The goal of this painting is to spark that sense of wonder that we all experienced as children, while hopefully inspiring everyone to get out and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer. This is a fun and interesting design that would be 100% "selfie" worthy. Thank you for your time and consideration!https://frasermountainmuralfest.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/7-54f43046f16ce88ee5363d34dc0cc78a/2020/05/Weatherford_Concept.jpg

Antoinette
McVeigh
Town Clerk
Town of
Fraser
Dear
Antoinette
McVeigh,
I am
proposing
a mural for
the Fraser
Mountain
Mural
Festival
(FMMF)
that begins
on August
7, 2020 in
beautiful
Fraser,
Colorado.
My work
will be
made with
aerosol
and acrylic
paint and
will
incorporat
e abstract
geometric
forms and
patterning
with bold
colors held
within a
circle. I
would be a
great fit for
this festival
because I
have been
sharing my
work for
10+ years
through
paintings
and
murals,
and I feel
an extreme
connection
to the City
of Fraser
and the
land of The
Fraser
Valley.
Everything
from the
smell of
the air,
breathtaki
ng views,
the
community
,
hospitality,
the food,
the art, it
all comes
together to
create a
magical
place
unlike any
other I’ve
experience
d. Last year
I was
selected to
be a
featured
artist at
FMMF, and
it would be
an honor
to come
back for
another
year,
bigger and
better than
the last.
My mural
got a lot of
attention
at last
year’s
celebration
because it
reminded
people of
the quilt
patterns
and barn
art that
they
admire so
much
around the
area. I
hope to
continue
this
connection
in my
mural this
year and
bring
people
together
again to
discuss the
history of
these
patterns
and
contempor
ary ways
we can use
them to
design
brilliant
compositio
ns based in
geometrica
l
abstraction
.
The
proposed
designs
come from
my series
Origin
Point.
These are
the final
three
circles in
my series,
which
represent
the action
of
reflection.
Included in
this packet
you will
see my
artist
statement
for this
series. The
circle’s
diameter
would
measure
between
6-8’
depending
on the size
of the wall
provided. I
am also
proposing
an element
of
community
involveme
nt by
providing
blank
coloring
book pages
of the
outline of
my design
that can be
colored on
site and/or
taken
home. I
will also do
a short
demonstra
tion and
artist talk
during the
final day to
explain my
ideation
and
process as
well as to
facilitate a
narrative
and
conversati
on around
the work
itself.
Central to
my
practice is
the
question of
how we as
humans
got here,
and where
we are
going as a
species,
within this
spiritual
experience
we call life.
The
intention
of the
work is to
function as
a mirror
for the
viewer,
and let
them
contempla
te their
own origin
and
ending, as
their eyes
start to
piece
together
the similar
elements
within
themselves
and the
compositio
n. We may
all be on
different
paths, but
it is my
belief that
every road
leads
home. I
really feel
my work
would be a
great fit for
the festival
this year
due to the
works
vibrant
colors,
intricate
detail,
thought-pr
ovoking
subject
matter,
local
relevance,
and
connection
to the
community
. The
mandalas
serve as
reminders
of the
hidden
connection
s we all
share, and
these
murals
would help
the
community
come
together to
reflect,
while also
inspiring
creators of
all ages.
Over the
last few
years I
have been
tuning my
craft more
than ever,
as I
prepare to
graduate
from MSU
Denver this
spring with
a BFA in
painting,
and I plan
to bring all
the tools
that I have
been
learning
into my
murals and
into Fraser
Mountain
Mural
Festival
2020.
Thank you
for your
time and
considerati
on,
John
Zeman
(Eagle

Origin
Point
Central to
my
practice is
how
humanity
comes to
understan
d
themselves
through
creation,
and where
they are
headed
within this
spiritual
experience
that we
call reality.
Since there
are no
definitive
answers on
this
subject, I
was called
to turn
inward and
form a
spiritual
practice of
intuitive
creation.
By opening
my
consciousn
ess while
making art,
I can enter
a
channeled
state
where the
subconscio
us takes
over and
brings
hidden
ideas to
the
surface.
This
open-ende
d visual
exploratio
n of life’s
deeper
meaning is
manifested
by tapping
into a
meditative
flow state
brought on
by
repetitive
action and
using
autonomis
m to
create the
designs.
Origin
Point
focuses on
becoming
whole and
finding
meaning
through
reflecting
on
experience
s and
realization
s of unity.
Using
patterning
to form a
narrative,
this series
explores
spiritual
connection
rooted in
repetitive
processes
and sacred
geometry.
The
paintings,
the central
most nine
laid out in
a grid, take
the viewer
from birth
through
death with
colorful
shapes and
abstracted
forms that
grow in
complexity
and clarity
as the
series
moves
forward in
time. The
three
sections
that divide
this work,
starting
from the
top,
represent
origin,
experience
, and
reflection.
They are
accompani
ed by
larger
paintings
which
signify a
past and
future,
alluding to
infinity, on
both sides.
Origin
Point
draws the
viewer into
the power
of creation
and the
infinite
possibilitie
s within by
using
archetypal
imagery,
symbology
and an
evocative
color
scheme.
The
paintings
avoid
figural
representa
tion in
order to
relieve the
viewer
from their
current
reality and
lead them
into a
stimulating
world of
contempla
tion and
connection
s. The
intention
of the
work is to
function as
a mirror
for the
viewer,
and let
them
contempla
te their
own origin,
ending and
place
within the
collective
as their
eyes start
to piece
together
similar
elements
within
themselves
and the
paintings.
Origin
Point
inspires
viewers to
take a
deeper
look at
themselves
through
varying
stages of
growth
and reflect
on how it
all comes
full circle
to end in
the same
place or
“point”.
We may all
be on
different
paths, but
every road
leads
home.

We have done ski chairs for Fraser beer co, hernandos, and two private chairs.
Extensive installation and mural experience private and public. Our concept displays various aspects of life from the past, present, and looking toward the future. The main parts are the hands embracing one and other, historic buildings, the rivers and the mountains, and the wolf howling (at 8). The wolf howling to symbolize the togetherness of our small community as well as looking to the stars conceptualizing and pondering our future. The buildings so we remember our past and embrace the beautiful history we have here as well as embracing ourselves and our elders pictured by the hands below. And of coarse the outdoor element to this wonderful place pictured with the divide and rafters in the middle ground (possibly other activities smaller like skiing, biking, camping, disc gold, etc.). While the whole picture is framed in the negative space of the full moon and night sky.https://frasermountainmuralfest.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/7-54f43046f16ce88ee5363d34dc0cc78a/2020/05/1B92A992-FF94-4D4D-B72C-0441085A4C66.png
AIko/ Corinne Szymczak/ Trujillo kococollabmanagement@gmail.com (224) 231-9086 @kococollab, @aikoyougo, @corinnebeebop http://www.aikoyougo.com We have a 675 square foot mural on a Greyhound station in the RiNo Arts District in Denver
We did two indoor murals for a Elevate Smoke Lounge in Westminster. 18 square feet and 12 square feet.
We were commissioned by Montucky Cold Snacks to do a mural at the venue called Your Mom's House in Denver which was about 216 square feet
We are currently finishing up an 8ft by 4ft mural for The Lincoln in Cheyenne Wyoming Other - Please describe your theme in concept box.Our work is rooted in the throes between chaos and serenity. The piece we are submitting dives into the concept of nature verse self. The figure is placed in a calamity of forces yet she is staying afloat and calm in her demeanor. The north start is brilliant and the background bright although a fleet of clouds brings with them a storm. We seek to embody the sublime essence of nature and how we as humans perceive, react and reflect with each moment. The interaction between her and the water stems from her finger tip representing the ripple effect she holds in the world. Watching it rain as the sun still shines- and forming rainbows before our eyes.https://frasermountainmuralfest.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/7-54f43046f16ce88ee5363d34dc0cc78a/2020/05/FRASERMURALFEST.jpg

Phyllis Anderson phyllisandersonart@gmail.com (856) 993-9123 @phyllisandersonart http://www.phyllisandersonart.com I have been painting for decades, showing my work in juried competitions and galleries, and doing commissioned pieces. I have a BFA in painting from the University of Texas, and also
studied at the Art Students League in New York. In addition to some very large paintings, I’ve done murals for an elementary school and private homes. My work has been shown at the
Evergreen Arts Center, CORE Art Space outside Denver and RGallery in Boulder. A current resume is available on my website.
My primary practice is in Philadelphia, where I show regularly, but I’ve been coming to Grand County for over 10 years, and own a condo in Winter Park. In addition to skiing, hiking and
horseback riding, I do watercolors, sketches and photographs of the landscape when I’m here, then translate them to canvas paintings and works on paper. The landscape of the Rockies has
been my primary subject for several years. I’ve done many paintings of Byers Peak, Parry Peak, James Peak, the Continental divide, and more. I often paint abstracted or expressionistic
interpretations, exploring a calligraphic approach that results in a hyper-kinetic landscape, which I think expresses the unpredictable energy of the wilderness. Please see my website or
Instagram page for examples of recent artworks.
In this
unprecede

of the
coronaviru
s
pandemic,
art is
needed
more than
ever to
inspire,
sustain,
and
communic
ate with
people
directly, in
a
meaningful
way. My
subject is
Doc Susie
Anderson,
familiar to
most
Fraser
residents,
but maybe
not as
much to all
the visitors
who come
for the
mountain
activities.
My ideausessymbolsandimagined
historical

colorful
piece that
relates to
today’s
world.
At the top
of my
proposed
mural, a
banner
proclaims
the title.
Just below
that is a
view of
Fraser’s
iconic
Byers and
Ptarmigan
peaks,
along with
stylized fir
trees
which
symbolize
the historic
importanc
e of
timber.
The central
oval
compositio
n contains
2 vignettes
of Doc
Susie‘s life
divided by
an
abstractedriver,whichserves asanother
symbol of
the Fraser
river
valley. The
river motif
ends at
Moffat
Tunnel,
and under
it, the
doctor’s
wonderful
quote from
the
tunnel’s
grand
opening.
The quote
illustrates
her
solidarity
with the
workers,
who were
often her
patients
during the
tunnel’s
dangerous
constructio
n. On the
left of the
river is a
depiction
of a
well-docu
mented
story that
Doc Susie’s
1st patient
was in fact
a horse.On theright, shechecks athermome

the 1918

an obvious
connection
to the
current
coronaviru
s situation.
An anxious

Below
these two

The entire
mural uses
simplified
shapes,
color, and
loose,
expressive
marks that
invite theviewer toexplore thedetails.
The jpg
provided is
a photo of
a 4’x4’
painting,
which
easily
enlarges to
8’x8’. On
the first
painting
day, I plan
to do an
under-pain
ting coat,
then
transfer &
enlarge the
compositio
n using a
grid. I’ll use
mural
markers
over an
initial
charcoal
drawing,
and then
begin
“coloring it
in.” The
painting
process
will
continue
on the
second
day, and
the final
step will be
adding
colorful,energeticmarks, asignature“dance of
color” that
can be
seen in
much of
my work.
The two
vignettes
are not
only
interesting
moments
from long
ago, but
they are
especially
designed
to appeal
to children.
Kids will
respond to
the horse
(another
part of
Fraser life,
with the
rodeo, the
YMCA
program,
& the
many
ranches);
and
children
today are
all too
familiar
with a
mysterious
illness
called
covid, andpeoplewearingmasks. Ibelieve
that
against the
familiar,
beautiful
mountain
backdrop,
what is
scary
becomes
more
understan
dable. The
same
mountains
we can see
from
almost
anywhere
in town
continue
to watch
over the
valley, and
life goes
on. These
two
scenes,
along with
the tunnel
quotation,
might even
inspire
children
and adults
to find out
more
about the
extraordin
ary life of
Dr. Susie
Anderson.
My vision
is forpeople toenjoy afun,
engaging
painting
that
celebrates
the history
and beauty
of Fraser.
Thanks for

Jason T.Graves jasontgraves@gmail.com (720) 366-0662 @jasontgraves http://www.jasontgravesart.com Hello, I'm submitting on behalf of myself and my art partner Remington Robinson.
The two of us are professional artist that live and work in Colorado. I have lived here for 20 years and Remington for 15 years. We have worked together, as solo artists and at one time as
members of an artist collective. We have created over 80+ murals, many of our most well known works can be found in Denver, Boulder and the surrounding area. We have also been able to
bring our creativity to many places outside of the state of Colorado. You can find our murals in New Orleans, California and several in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood. Our murals often
reflect realistic plant life and sometimes animals. That subject matter is blended and balanced with our personal contemporary fine-art and street-art styles by way of colorful and complex
pattern work and design. We kindly request your consideration to be a part of the Fraser Mountain Mural Fest.

Trisha Bellefeuille tcal3@yahoo.com (970) 531-1650 Art_tb111 I am an acrylic artist. I am home based and love to paint realistic art. Landscape, wildlife, portraits, vintage cars/trucks, neorealism, and sometimes I dabble with charcoal. I also love to paint
traditional tattoo art.
I believe art in any form is a release of emotion. It’s calming for the soul.
My Design is a mountain lion with the Fraser mountain range landscape in “electric”, high contrast color.https://frasermountainmuralfest.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/7-54f43046f16ce88ee5363d34dc0cc78a/2020/03/TB-MTNLION.gif , https://frasermountainmuralfest.com/wp-content/uploads/gravity_forms/7-54f43046f16ce88ee5363d34dc0cc78a/2020/03/PNG-image.png
Philip Newsom prnewsom@gmail.com (970) 901-8208 @philipnewsom http://newsomart.com/gallery.php?gallery=5philip.newsomart.com Aside from 20 years of fine art painting, mostly realistic landcapes and animals, I've done numerous murals, all for residential and commercial interiors...so far. Looking for outdoor surfaces to paint. Currently working on dinosaur scenes for the Morrison Natural History Museum.Mammoths lived at high altitude in the Rockies, which many people don't know. I would like to show a herd of mammoths in Fraser Valley with recognizable features such as Byers Peak in the background.
