Meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m. 2021 Fraser Art Walk Purpose: A monthly event designed to increase business for local restaurants/bars, create space for local Artisans to display and sell their goods, cultivate opportunities for live music, and further develop downtown Fraser as the arts and culture hub of Grand County. Description: For each participating business, one designated Artisan would have their sellable work on display from 2pm Friday afternoon, through 6pm Sunday evening on the designated weekend. Each artisan would bring their own display tables/materials/signage and contactless methods of receiving payments. Each participating business would have one scheduled time slot (or perhaps more depending on the number of businesses participating, and how many tickets are sold) where both the Artisan is on site, as well as live music is being performed. This rotation of the “meet the artist” accompanied by live music would help to keep people on a bit of a more predictable rotation through the businesses, as to minimize disruption of regular customers. This would ideally happen on a recurring weekend every month (i.e. 2nd weekend of every month) and would be great to start happening ASAP. Should we shoot for January? As weather gets nicer for patios to be comfortable again, we can increase ticket sales. Funding: Tickets would be sold in advance (sales will be managed by the Town of Fraser) and would come along with a map and schedule for music and Artist appearances. Each ticket sale would come with (1) complimentary small beverage or single serving appetizer (business’ choice) from each participating business. Funds from ticket sales will be used to hire musicians, and perhaps a “Fraser Art Walk” merchandise item (i.e. a commemorative glass or re-usable bag). For example, if 6 Businesses were participating, and 50 tickets were sold at $30 each, a schedule could be as follows: Friday 3-6pm Saturday 3-6pm Sunday 3-6pm Fraser Valley Distilling x Adventures Decanted x Fishers Bar x Winter Park Winery x Camber Brewing x Fraser Valley Beer Co x
