ORDINANCE NO. 77-2004
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE
INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
WHEREAS, The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to obtain funds that will be used for DUI Taskforce Related Activities; and
WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty-two Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($52,000.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to fund DUI Taskforce Related Activities, specifically:
(a) $18,000.00 for Operation Pullover activities; and
(b) $4,000.00 for Big City Big County activities; and
(c) $30,000.00 for other general DUI Taskforce activities.
Passed and adopted this _4th_ day of _October____ 2004, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
